Friday Five (It’s Friday, right?)

1. I left the house today. Bought some groceries and dealt with the “no plastic bags” law that went into affect yesterday. I survived, even if I did have to turn around and go get a bag to put my meager haul into. 

2. I did a chore. It was one of those “I should save this until I have about 4 hours - 10 minutes later... done.” Yeah. I should probably hire one of those topless maid services I see online all the time. 

3. School called. I need to hire a long term sub for the year for one of my teachers on a medical leave. He and I were good friends (I thought), but I was the last to know, including everyone else in my department. I asked if we could get the woman back we had to transfer to the Middle School to teach CODING (because it was a job and apparently anyone can teach it), but they said no. I am so fucking done with this district. If there is a wrong decision, they will invariably make it. 

4. Going to see Iron Maiden and The Raven Age tomorrow. I’m digging TRA and it should be a great show. Lots of Piece of Mind songs in the Maiden set. Got a couple friends who are going to meet tomorrow (one of my best friends from high school and a new friend) - worlds collide!

5. Going to see Killswitch Engage and Clutch tomorrow. Clutch is opening and the reason I’m going because Clutch! But Killswitch Engage show should be cool. They’re played the same songs for the last 20 shows or so, but this is their hometown show (KE and Clutch have been alternating as headliners), so they might pull out some older songs (like I would know, cuz I’ve only been listening to their current set. I am looking forward to hearing their cover of “Holy Diver” which they’ve been closing with \m/. Also, Clutch has been playing “Willie Nelson” and “Burning Beard” and “The Face” a lot which would be cool. “Rats” not so much, but they’ve been playing that a bunch too.

Friday 5

* Have to pack this weekend and I'm not looking forward to it. Moving sucks but I am so ready. * This week at work has been shit. I don't know that I've ever looked forward to a weekend more. * I need to get a new tattoo soon. It's been too long. * I had forgotten how much I like this place and most of the people here lol. * Is it time to go home yet?
