Sumber utama kekuatan ukhuwah islamiyyah adalah iman kepada Allah swt. Ketika iman seseorang sedang naik, maka sensitivitas persaudaraan yang dimilikinya akan semakin kuat. Sebaliknya, ketika imannya turun maka semakin longgar tali ukhuwah darinya kepada orang lain.

Ikatan persaudaraan karena keimanan kepada Allah mempunyai posisi yang lebih tinggi daripada ikatan persaudaraan karena darah.

Betapa kita temukan seorang adik menjadi musuh kakaknya di dunia karena urusan warisan. Betapa kita temukan juga seorang kakak menjadi lawan adiknya karena urusan perniagaan. Itu baru urusan duniawi, belum lagi di akhirat nanti sudah tiada benar jaminan selamatnya hubungan persaudaraan apa pun kecuali karena keimanan.

Tidak seorang suami kepada istri, tidak pula kepada anak dan kerabat. Dan firman-Nya, “Para kekasih di hari itu saling bermusuhan kecuali orang-orang yang bertakwa.”

She leans her head on the backrest and avoids his eyes. “Ad’s cool.” Charlie examines her, then turns his gaze to the street. They stay silent for a bit as he takes another drag, and then as he blows it out. “I mean,” he says gently, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like someone like that.” Diana says nothing. Is that so? I’d kill a puppy for brown eyes. Not exactly the hairdresser puppy and also not the R-Chord puppy but… some puppy… maybe… well maybe not. But I kinda toy with the thought of getting the contacts I need so badly in some cool color. Although I like the weird yellow sun circles in my eyes… I wanna keep them.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear about your godfather. I hope things are starting to find their way back to normalcy because all of that sounds so difficult. But you really don't need to worry about giving me any kind of explanation! I absolutely do not think you're a bad friend (especially not for taking a bit to respond to that massive message haha) and getting all of that back in order is clearly the priority. We'll talk soon and I'll be looking forward to another Skype session 💛

Awww dear… I am so well aware that I haven’t replied to your last DM on here yet… I’m going through a tough time right now. My Godfather passed the other week, I am their heir and my Mom and I were busy organizing the (sea) funeral in the midst of my birthday party weekend and other private stuff that has been keeping me occupied lately. I feel so guilty to see the feedback for the chapter piling up once again… I had someone staying over at my place for a week and now that they are gone I’m currently trying to get back to my daily routine and start writing the epilogue. Thank you for reaching out to me again despite me being such a bad friend and unorganized mess. :/ The best way to reach me is literally always through Tumblr asks because this website is my home and I’m pathetic enough to admit it xD Anyway… I am really really glad you liked it… I hope I’ll be able to top it off with the epilogue <3 I really miss talking to you.
