I’ve found that whether it be with lovers, family or friends distance is one of the hardest things two people ever have to go through. It’s not even the physical side in which you cannot touch one another but more the mental strain. The longing to have them there, to make memories with them. To be able to message them and meet up like it’s nothing. To hear there voice and see them smile and laugh without it being through a screen or a phone call. I hope that people know how lucky they are to live so close to those people, to be able to see them whenever they like. It honestly makes me jealous as I’d give anything to have that ability. Thought there is one thing that makes long distance so special and that’s you always appreciate the time you do get with them and know that one day you will see them again. Distance can bring out some of the strongest connections with people, as if you can survive being apart you can truly appreciate being together. But through all of this there is always one thing that keeps me going, helps me deal with the miles between us, and that is that I know you’ll still be there and I know that when night falls we both look up at the same sky, at our stars, and we’re connected again. And I know it’s sad but, I feel like there’s some beauty in that.
