I like how Paul McGann's frock coat in the TV movie is so hard to pin down. People thought it was black, brown, or blue when it came out in 1996. But it's actually a very dark olive green/bottle green. But it's so hard to tell because of how much it shifts and changes based on lighting and shadow. It's pearlescent. It's not just green, it shines green but I think parts of the actual velvet fibers are black. This coat is just like "screw you, you don't even KNOW what colour I am!"

So mysterious.

Trying to get a replica made is impossible, it's never the same material. I suspect it no longer exists in 2025.
