“y/n push harder!” she squealed and giggled as you pushed a little harder. “is it my turn yet?” you huffed as she giggled. “i guessss” she got off the single swing at the park across the street from her friends house. he grinned as he got on the swing and jiheon started to push carefully as a grin spread across his face. “jiheon! y/n! do you want some ice cream?” her face lit up as you smiled and nodded over at your mother, jumping off the swing, falling over in the woodchips. his mom walked over and sighed. “be careful y/n,” she wiped off the woodchips sticking to your clothes then took your hand and jiheon’s as you all crossed the street into his house. the two of you giggled as there was ice cream all over your face. his mom giggled as you finished up your cup of ice cream and jiheon finished hers. both of you running to the gaming system to play games for hours. you and jiheon heard a familiar voice and jiheon gasped. “it’s my mom, hide!” you both giggled and hide in the corner of the living room with the blanket over the two of you, giggling and shushing each other in between giggles.
Jiheon groaned as she rolled over in her bed, she stared up at the new ceiling, looking around at the new room and looking at everything. she looked at the bright walls and sighed, the color was definitely not her first pick...or any pick of hers at all. for the past few days she was getting adjusted to the new house, back in her hometown. she felt anxious to be back and see people from elementary school, none of them know exactly what happened and when she moved. Jiheon sighed as her mom knocked on the door. “come on, we need to be out the door in fifteen minutes.” Jiheon stood up and walked to her closet “okay mom,” she picked out a pair of ripped jeans and a simple shirt as she got ready. The drive to school was agonizingly long as anticipation built up. Her mom pulled up to the door and she got out. “bye Jiheon! have a great day!” her mom smiled as she nodded. “thank you mom!” she walked in and looked around, she played a scene in her head of a movie thinking that’s how this was going to play out.
Contradictory to the thoughts in her head no one looked at her or cared, she walked around looked for her home room and took a breath. she repeated the number in her head over and over. “C246, C246, C24-“ she stopped thinking as she looked up at the figure she ran into. “oh i’m sorry,” she looked up at you, not even recognizing you from when you were kids. she went on her way as you called out “Jiheon!” she turned around and looked over at you. “huh?” you ran up and hugged her as she squinted, realizing she recognized the hug. “y-y/n?” she grinned and hugged you back as you smiled. “how have you been?” she smiled up at you as you both let go. “good, i’ve missed you so much,” she blushed as you spoke. “i’ve missed you too, y/n,” she smiled as you smiled “same home room?” he looked at her as she looked up at you “C246?” you both asked in unison and smiled as you walked together. “sooo y/n, should we hang out at the park later?” she smiled up you as he nodded quickly. “most definitely,i’ll need your number though,” she grinned as he gave it to her right away. parted ways after homeroom, sadly you two didn’t have classes together.
She smiled as her mom met her at the end of the day and she got in the car. Her mom smiled at her. “how was it?” Jiheon blushed softly as she thought about you, remembering your soft and handsome features. “really good,” she nodded and smiled. “meet anyone?” her mom asked, just to fill the silence in the car. She shook her head. “remember y/n?” her mom nodded. “of course, what about him?” Jiheon smiled a little. “he’s at my school, is that okay if i hang out with him tonight? y’know, to catch up,” her mom nodded. “sure, it’s been a while,” Jiheon smiled, “thank you,” her mom nodded as they pulled in the driveway and Jiheon ran on to put her things away. she went to text him until she got a text first. “i’m on my way to pick you up now :)” she smiled “yayy!! i’ll see you then!!”
Jiheon grinned as she heard a horn beep and opened the door as you walked in. “hi mrs. baek,” you smiled and gave her a hug as she hugged you back. “it’s so good to see you y/n, how have you been?” you smiled as they had some small talk and she watched. they ended shortly as she smiled and walked out to the car with you. you smiled and put on old songs that you used to dance around too as she giggled and smiled at you. “i’ve missed this,” you nodded at her. “it’s so nice to see you again,” he parked and smiled as you both got out and ran to the swings like you did when you were kids. The two of you hopped onto the swings and smiled. “sooo, any relationships?” Jiheon started as she asked you. you shook your head as she looked at you with a furrowed brow. “but how, you’re perfect and anyone is lucky to have you!” You blushed, “it’s not like i wasn’t asked out,” she raised an eyebrow as you took a deep breath. “i’ve been waiting for you jiheon, somehow, someway i knew you’d come back into my life. you truly are the only girl for me, it might be too bold or too soon but i’d like to be your boyfriend,” you sat on the swing with your feet dragging as you stared down. Jiheon got off the swing carefully and kissed the top of your head. “i’ve known you for a huge part of my life and i think i’d love to be in a relationship with you.”
