What scares me the most? People having that wide smile on their faces but deep down they're outright evil. Monstrous would be less of a word. Don't fall for what appears, deception is running at its peak in this age & time...

The Clone Wars S5E2 - E5: The Onderon Arc
Steela Gerrera is such an amazing character, and her death hurts, especially when we all know that she would have been so happy to see a free Onderon.
This arc is a great action arc. After the last few (very heavy) episodes, it was good to kind of step back from the whole Maul thing and focus on Ahsoka again. This arc is a great demonstration of Ahsoka’s growth, and knowing that her time as a Jedi is soon coming to an end makes this a bittersweet rewatch.
Think about it: this is one of the last few arcs that we see Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan working together as Jedi (and Anakin and Obi-Wan leave midway through the arc, so). Also, chronologically, this takes place after Brothers and Revenge, which really makes me wonder about the dynamic between the three of them as well as Obi-Wan’s mindset.
I’m getting distracted - my point is this: Ahsoka has grown so much since the beginning of the show, and we know that things will soon get really bad for her. It’s kinda bittersweet.
On an unrelated note, I absolutely love Hondo! It was so funny that he came in, dropped off the missiles, and immediately ran off when he saw the droids. Like he did not want to get Involved with the war on Onderon, and yeah, that tracks for his character.
Anyways, I was getting major OT vibes just from how the rebels were able to come together. We see how they start off, sort of disjointed and inexperienced, but as the arc progresses, they come together and unite to bring freedom to Onderon. It’s really a wonderful progression, and it’s easily one of my favorite things about this arc.
I’ve come to the realization that I won’t be able to finish this rewatch within the next three days, so I’ll just continue to rewatch as the new episodes air (though I’m really hoping to be done with this rewatch by next week. We’ll see).
See you next time!
