A Longstar AU that got out of control really fast. Made the executive decision to play loose with timelines, so if there’s plotholes I don’t care. This was a self-indulgent exercise that canceled/swapped some villians, saved characters I thought deserved better, and added a couple characters for funsies. Tried to be thoughtful about disabilities, and honestly Sleekwhisker deserves a better motivation, but other than that I’m happy with how this turned out. Feel free to use the designs if you want, as long as you tell me about it! I’d be thrilled to pieces to see that!!

this probably wont be explored further so ill just mention here that cherubi and brackenfall have beef because cherubi was dating owlsongs dad and she was not quite abusive but certainly toxic, and when he left and got with brackenfall, it infuriated cherubi. she swore to destroy all of thunderclan but it seems like someone beat her to it. LOL get rekt grandma

Otter is having a change of heart, triggered by them and their kit’s near-death experience (dog).
I hope this is clear, but if not: Otter was not intentionally abusive to their kits, more neglectful and absent, and they experienced a lot of mental health issues, including postpartum depression. While their actions aren’t necessarily the greatest, I try to tell this story from a realistic perspective and show characters with and without empathy for that. Minkheart is too eager to forgive Otter because she has developed people pleasing tendencies, and wants to “fawn” and placate to prevent conflict. The different members of the litter each have their own ways of coping with their kit-hood experiences! If you don’t like / understand the way Minkheart is reacting, trust that Wildleap and Cherryfrost will have.. different reactions to this new idea of Otter’s!
