I got to hang with this one awesome superstar 🌟 for a little bit last night. The coolest thing about the fruit-based vegan community is how many incredible people I’ve met over the past 13 years. It all started with raw foods and online friends, some that eventually became real-life homies. Tracey and I met because she went to a fruit fest in Peru. I was not there but when people asked where she lived, she said Brooklyn. These mutual friends asked if she knew me. After this happened a few times, she decided to reach out. We had messaged maybe once before but this time had decided to go to dinner. We hit it off immediately and connected on so many levels. Certain struggles we’ve had with raw foods and body image were exactly the same and we laughed so hard together. It’s been so great to have someone who gets me just a phone call away though, let’s get real, it sucked when she moved to LA. I’m so happy she’s back in Brooklyn and I’m lucky to have such a supportive and real friendship with her. I also love that I get to take dance classes from her at @thewoodstockfruitfestival because she’s a damn good instructor. I am always in awe of her talent and I’m proud to know her, if you can’t tell. I don’t think this woman understands what a force she is! No matter how far away @traceykatof travels, I know we’ll always be friends. I have my healthy vegan path to thank for her being in my life, along with so many other ride or dies. I love you!
