– “JAI!” AYLIN'S WITH HER FRIENDS, leaving the bar, but when she notices him on the street, she separates from them. “ i’ll catch up with you in a bit ! ” she calls over her shoulder, clomping down cobblestone streets in kitten heels to catch up to jai. “ hi,” she gasps, a little out of breath, “ i was hoping we could catch up ! ” she hooks her arm with his, “ how was your summer ? ” oh, she already knows it was ROUGH. but she’s simply doing her research !

– “HEY!” ALLIE BOUNDS UP TO JAI, drink number...three ? in her hand. “ have you seen grace ? ” she asks, standing on her tiptoes to look over the crowd. allie has a habit to play mom when she and her friends are at parties – although she’s usually sober. turns out the instinct doesn’t turn itself off when she’s drunk either, she’s just more apt to LOSING people. “ you two are friends, right ? ”

after her fight with noel salem decided to creep off outside to the side of the building, it was freezing but she didn’t care. she needed to get out of there and get some fresh air so she could clear her mind. the evening had gone to shit, her secret was out and she wasn’t sure where her marriage stood. after sending a few texts she looked up from her phone as she heard footsteps. it was the last person she wanted to see, her ex boyfriend. “if you’re here to call me a whore or rub this whole thing in my face just get it over with. I don’t even care anymore.” she said quietly with a shrug.

THERE IS STILL APPREHENSION THAT COMES WITH THE EXISTENCE OF JAI. after all, she’s trying to be okay with it because she sees that cyrus is happy, but there’s a nervousness about trust ever since their conversation ( if you could call it that ) on the streets of berlin. she knows she was hard on him, but she doesn’t feel bad about it, especially if it’s made him better ! she’ll take a little credit for the way he’s shaped up, maybe, since she let him know of her standards. “ hi, ” she greets as she steps into the elevator beside him, they’re on cordial enough terms that she believes small talk is necessary, “ where are you headed ? ”
