Man a lot happened in this episode. Elena and Jemma get a 1000000/10 on the BAD PLAN scale because really??? You two??? Creel, Coulson, and Talbot also get a 50/10 on the Wacky Hijinks scale. At least they were having some fun. Also, since I’m watching this on Mother’s Day, I’ve giving Melinda May a Mother’s Day Card that says “Sorry your kids are all being such jerks right now” because seriously no one is listening to her.

The song for this episode is “Fast As You Can” by Fiona Apple dedicated to Jemma and Elena and their really bad no good terrible ideas.

Hi, can you help me a little because there is a lot of people who are hating Fitz right now and i know they right but i still want to defend him can you give me some stuff because being French and all it’s hard to find arguments

Unfortunately there is no argument that I can give you that will get people to change their minds right now.  I feel like this has been brewing for a long time and now those who don’t like Fitz are just going to run with it.      

I’ve made a number of arguments in various metas including:

Fitz suffered a traumatic even in 14 as well when he had the mental break.   A fight he’s been fighting since the Framework came to a head and he needs love and support to help heal. 

Fans were screaming for this to be addressed and now that it is many don’t like it. 

Its supposed to be a messy and emotional story line.   Its not supposed to be easy.   There is meant to be a ton of grey area.

Sometimes unpleasant stuff has to happen in the story in order to move it along and set up things later.  In this case the writers want the team fractured, Fitz coming to terms with the Doctor (so he can be tempted), and for them to all have different takes on the situation.

Fitz has to figure out how to use that shadow but not over take him.   

Fitz needs a chance to get a win on this.

This isn’t the first time a character has had to grapple with a shadow.  Daisy and Coulson both had arcs where they went darker, went too far, made decisions they thought were for the greater good and had painful consequences/hurt others or betrayed the team in some way.  

Doing something or overriding someone’s wishes is recurring theme this season.  Nearly every character has done it so far in one way or another.

Daisy in 13 told May she wasn’t going to let Coulson die, they were going to save him whether he like it or no.   Just like she didn’t want her powers back he doesn’t want his life extended unnaturally again. 

  This is a messy story line with lots of fan favorite characters involved.  I can meta until I am blue in the face but I will not be able to change someone’s mind who is dead set that they don’t like Fitz or their take on what he is going through.  Just as no one will be able to change my mind and my take on it.  I’m gong down with my theory on how its going to play out.

I think what is hurting me so much about this story line is seeing people getting attacked.  

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LOVING, SUPPORTING, AND SEEING FITZ’S STORY ARC DIFFERENTLY.  DO NOT LET ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL BAD FOR IT!

It is NOT okay to attack other fans, ever!  You can disagree and have a nice debate, but shaming people, bullying them, attacking them.  NO.   Let everyone support and ship whomever they damn well please!   

Something I am guilty of is looking for deeper meanings to things when they just aren’t there (Exhibit A the freaking Necklace in Season 3).   I have to remember the writers don’t look at things as deep as the fans do and I think this is one of those situations.  

So while you can’t control what others are saying you can control what you see and do.  Here are my tips.

Don’t engage.   Those who are being really mean and vocal aren’t going to change their mind.  Engaging also gives it more attention and visibility than simply ignoring or blocking it will.  

Mute, block, unfollow anyone who is making you not enjoy this.  Blacklist tags if you have too.  For me this is an escape an way I can relax and have fun.  You can always follow them again later but build yourself a nice moat and I stay behind it.

Stay out of the tags.  Just don’t go in there. 

I hope that helped.  Right now I’m encouraging everyone to do what they have to do to make sure their experience remains positive.  Don’t feel like you have to engage and argue, because a lot of times its not going to change someone else’s feelings.  I know when I put things out there that I have to accept both good and bad feedback that comes with it.  All I as is that people remain respectful with me and my time.   Everyone doesn’t have to agree but at least be respectful.

I don't know if you saw this article, but basically Lil says (about that infamous scene in 5x14) that she "thought for sure she's pregnant", while Jed said that it was more a sign that Jemma's "sick of getting her world turned upside down." While it's possible they're outright lying to throw people off the scent (which would be pretty low of them), I don't think she's pregnant right now. If she will be at all, I expect the reveal to come later - say, finale, which makes for a more open ending.

Yes I did see that one!  Jed said about similar things about the prospect of the wedding too.  They will mislead.

For me its not just the throwing up that has me seeing her pregnant.

Jemma was eating a lot of junk food at the beginning of  14.

She gagged when Fitz pulled the inhibitor out of Daisy, I’ve never seen Jemma gag with any of the bloody kind of still on the show before, its usually Fitz that does that.  

She’s never thrown up before.   She’s had her world turned upside down many times over the seasons from Hydra attacking , Maveth, and the events of Self Control and the Framework.  

The finale is still 7 episodes away and i think if the pregnancy weren’t going to be a factor until then those kinds of hints would be dropped until the 18.19 range.  

If its in play my current thought is that is revealed in 16-18.  As always I could be wrong but that is how I”m reading things right now.
