It is disheartening to see some ppl think that bisexuality was reinforcing the binary and didn’t become inclusive until the 1990s (or worse, some ppl think it still isn’t) yet think pansexuality had been inclusive since forever, when literally THE madison kaleidoscope writing pieces on queer rights in 1970, wrote pansexual as “relations among -both sexes-”

In the SAME YEAR (1970) Elisa Gidlow wrote about her bi experience as “Love and sexual patterns of people, whether homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual, are nobody's business but the people's themselves" (notably in an era when writings abt sexuality often said “man and woman!!1!” and hadn’t been as gender neutral to say “people” regarding attraction) [full writing here]

Bisexuality broke binaries far earlier than so many people thought. Yet, to still see SO much biphobia from stereotypes… I wish this bs would stop Not to mention the bisexual community had the definition of attraction regardless of gender OVER A DECADE before the 1990s Bi Manifesto even came out!

Man being nonbinary is so fucking complicated cause it's like, I know I want top surgery but I don't want bottom surgery because I'm way too nervous about my genitals being fucked with and idk if I want hrt because I want to look androgenous and not go too far to looking like the opposite binary on accident.
