fuuuuuuck
just realized i cut almost 50 pieces of fabric the wrong size (half an inch too narrow)
i am going to Go For It Anyway™, surely this will not cause problems
Forgetting to pivot when head strikes wall, when foot finds cliff 'n' goes to fall. I have so many names for these, these fooly dumbass tricks, watch me this, see me leaping candlesticks.
I call them dedication, grit and strong and go. I call them care and leisure and work and really know.
I call them loyalty in love in kind in licking rotted rind. I call them who I am or am'nt, hurts won't'n't leave behind.
Totally intent'nal, in no mistakes I wade. But to hide the fuckups, invent the fuckups, cus they don't come ready made.

So. I feel like a heel.
Between my health, my perfectionist nature and my being an idiot, this is a work in progress that I'm wholly unhappy with the result and with myself.
I took a commission for a belt thinking 'I've seen the examples by others, read the tutorial, how hard can it be?'
Never ask this of the universe. You will learn just how little you know. You'll fuck it up so bad you have to redo 10 days of weaving to make a new tape. You'll realize that the take you made again, and the buckles you bought aren't a good mix because your tape is too thin...so you redo another band and make 2 identical bands and think you'll stitch them together on the sewing machine and discover that the dog found the power cord.
You'll try hand-stitching using the antique. You'll end up practicing self voodoo and hand sewing 2 yards of stitching. Twice.
Now you're caught up. Not.
Well you, my readers are.
I hate myself for the delays. I refunded my customer tonight. I ordered the CORRECT size fiber for this type of project and expect it to arrive next week.
I have one piece coming off the loom tomorrow (if I'm lucky) and one other going on after that will both be quick to weave.
Then when I get the correct fibers I can weave this up again...the right way, and send the good finished product to my customer anyway... And then be better able to handle similar requests for belts in the future and not have to play mad scientist to get them made and take forever doing so.
I'm truly sorry to my customer for my shitty customer service and to those waiting for my commissions to open again.
It's going to be a while. Bear with me.
