July 2018: Geiko Fukuai (Horiyae Okiya) of Miyagawacho on her way to an engagement on a rainy day.
Fukuai is the onee-san to both of Horiyae’s Maiko, Fukutomo and Fukuyuri. She debuted in April of 2007 under the only other currently active Geiko affiliated with Horiyae, Geiko Fukuteru, and had her Erikae on the 6th of November in 2012, so she has been a Geiko for almost 6 years and should be 26 or 27 years old right now.

Geiko Fukuai celebrated the opening ceremony in Miyagawacho yesterday. She dressed her formal black crested kimono and a special unhusked rice kanzashi!
