As we have entered Summer I feel I have to share one of my favourite anime set in this season. I truly enjoyed Barakamon. It had such an amazing Summer feel and the stories were funny as well as thoughtful. The manga is also just as good. It's also great that the mangaka and her editor actually used personal experiences at the Island to write the story. I think at the end of one of the manga volumes, the editor showed a picture of the cats used as reference in the above story. Makes me want to visit the Gotó Islands. It looks like a really beautiful place. I find watching seasonal anime if their respective season more enjoyable. So if you haven't see this, then now is the time.

November 2017: Geiko Fukue (Kawayoshi Okiya) of Miyagawacho on her way to an engagement.
She had her Misedashi on the 25th of May in 2007 and her Erikae on the 20th of November in 2012, so she is around 25 years old now.
Fukue is currently not just the only Geiko of her okiya and onee-san to all the five Kawayoshi-Maiko, but also the daughter of the Kawayoshi-okaasan and the atatori, the heir, to the okiya.
