just curious because it’s always interesting to hear, how did you get into happyduo/ the mcyt fandom? For me it was through my past liking of Minecraft YouTubers as a child (aphmau, dantdm, popularmmos, and later Skeppy) and then coming back and finding super cool animations/animatics for Minecraft lore that I didn’t understand but binge watched xD. Because of that, I got so curious that I finally caved in and got into the Dsmp. And then I stumbled upon skephalo through those comp vids popping up on my feed/ just watching old skep vids lol.

yup. Yap time over i thinkkk. Oh wait! One more question, is there anything you use as your main inspiration for art? For me it tends to just be looking at fanarts and stuffs, but I was just wondering cuz I really admire your art/artstyle!! :D

As for the fandom and general yappage , that’s so real LOL. For me, I have always been a fan of Mc and iv played it for yyyears and years, some of my fondest memories were playing with my siblings and building little villages or whole cities on super flat worlds or the mushroom island (it was our favorite for some reason LOL), so it’s definitely been apart of my childhood and that most certainly has an effect on why I’m interested now, But iv kinda just been circling back to the DSMP and general MCYT stuff for like years now, Iv seen Skephalo/happyduo stuff for so long and I always knew I’d get into it fully w lore and actually get into the details of it eventually (this was back in the highest part of it lol) but I was always rlly obsessed/interested in other stuff so I’d put it aside for a later time:3

The animator SADIST and their animations w the DSMP also nudged me greatly into actually exploring/fully getting into it, I’m still vvvery new and know very little but I’m working my way through(6 years later LMAO), Iv seen their animations for a while and Iv studied their style a lot and it actually inspired me a lot to animate myself, I used to be really obsessed w their animations of L’Manberg esp back in the day and I didn’t even know the lore then.. (still kinda don’t.. I’m working on it;v;)

I used to watch animations, compilations, general videos, and other such things of the happy-duo before this LOL I’m just finally in a position to address the hyper fixation that’s been eating my soul away for the past 6 or so years :)

As for the art question?? Ohhh that’s a toughie..

my main inspiration.. Hmhmhm.. Well I kinda come from a family of artists, my dads an artist, my mother is on and off, my elder siblings are artists, my twin sibling is an artist.. all of various crafts ofc but their still artists so it kinda is just.. a thing that is in my brain- LOL but that wasn’t really your question XD…. but also hmm I follow quite a few people that have influenced my style to a great degree- not to mention close friends, experimenting.. SORRY OKAY TO ACTUALLY ANSWER I KEEP RAMBLING LMFAO

:) over the years iv compiled some of my favorite sketches/drawings and other various nicknack-pattywacks into a folder in my photos to look back to for inspiration— i can’t share the art because that’s reposting someone else’s work (i sadly don’t know a lot of the artists because i have had these for like so flipping long and I don’t even remember where they came from 😭..) but I can share some of the other goofie things I have saved for ya that give me a whimsical sort of inspiration:3

My siblings and their art/motivation to create have also played a large part in my inspiration, I would @ them but I can’t spell one of their users (ily guys if ur reading uwu im not gonna @ you because i can’t spell one of ur user names.. also you have 2 accounts so like idk which one to @ LMAO)

:) but yea looking at fanarts also helps- when it comes to character design i definitely like to add my own twist to it though, like either changing something up appearance wise to match w the personality or adding a scar due to this or that fight, adding extra jewelry and adding reason for said jewelry, adding more color cohesiveness or like- special features that just *make sense* symbolism wise.. idk lol it’s fun

eventually when I got proud enough and okay w my style I started using some of my own art as inspiration as well which iv been able to build off of over the years— I think it’s helped me have a more cohesive style.. oh also making my own brush, forcing myself out of a comfort zone, and trying new things as an artist that I USUALY wouldn’t really do on my own has helped improved and tested my abilities:)

I’m a big perfectionist when it comes to art.. 😭 but every piece that iv done where i force it to be ‘perfect’ i end up hating to bits, so if i draw a line i don’t like but it still fits the placement and someone else can at the very least tell what it is, i keep it. As long as it exists it’s good enough:)

Wouldn’t that have just tied in perfectly to what I’ve been saying all along which is that there are like six name in media to name your male character? lol.

This made me laugh but unfortunately he is only called Richie because I firmly believe that Dick Harrington would name a kid after himself and I wanted to make the joke:

Eddie: This is your brother. Dick?

Richie: Rich

Eddie: I’m sure you are.

Also, Richie Tozier deserves better than having this Richie named after him. His only crimes were being gay and annoying in a small town. This Richie has a lot worse crimes to answer for. lol.

How would the Dark Lord react if his death eaters were gay, bisexual and/or queer? He loves to discuss other people's intimate lives. He talked about Snape's personal life, talked about Tonks and Lupine's child, and talked about Merope and Tom.

i think back in the og time period he'd def use it as a weapon. not publicly calling them out or anything, more as a constant way to humiliate someone or show how them being queer and him knowing it is just power play. he would have a personal prejudice, too, with how he was raised, and he'd treat them with way more disgust, i'm positive. in a modern au, i think he'd be too logical to have a personal prejudice, though he would still blackmail and manipulate said death eater with the threat of outing them, etc.

What do you think is the equivalent Muggle jobs for Unspeakables, Dragon Tamers, Curse Breakers?

Unspeakables work in the Department of Mysteries, researching magic basically. So I'd say they're your scientists. Little bit of top-secret Manhattan Project energy going on there.

(I honestly don't love that they're so extremely government-aligned. I think it would have made more sense with the worldbuilding, and made for a more fun Book 5 climax - if Unspeakables were a little more Dr. Frankenstein/secret society coded. Like the way Tony Stark works with SHEILD, but isn't technically part of SHEILD. I would have made the Unspeakables work more like that.)

Dragon tamers - would be a sort of cross between environmentalists, conservationists, and park ranger survivalists. Because the reason dragons need to be tamed in the first place is to keep them safe, and prevent them from causing destruction/breaking the Statute.

Curse breakers seem like security experts/safe crackers (which is why they work for the bank, and not St. Mungos.) I realize that the word "wards" is fanon, but we definitely do see a lot of magical protections on HP locations that need to be set and reset, so I figure that's what curse breakers do. They're who you call in if you need to make your house unplottable, or make it impossible to apparate into. They're also who you call if you need to get into a magically secured location.

outside of the animations and stuff, how GOOD can the mimes and living actually sing?

A couple have excellent singing voices, and a good handful sing nicely, but a vast majority don't sing very well at all lmao.

Holly belts it out like nobody else-- both in and out of her host (her host was also a singer). Hands down she is the best singer of the cast.

Depending on whether or not you like screamo/metal, Jarna sings it particularly well. She has an incredible vocal range.

Tanner, although he does not go out of his way to train his voice at all, has a very nice, rich singing voice that you'll only ever hear if he thinks nobody can hear-- or if he's had a few to drink. He's an untrained natural.

Beyond those three, I'd say some other pretty good singers would be Leon, Bonnie, Hannah, Atrox, Foxglove, Twiddle Niddle (he already speaks somewhat musically and swingy)... Uppsulka in host probably has a nice voice, too.

Mostly everyone else is amateurish at best. The worst of the worst would be Rede, Rachel... & I don't think Tim could hold a proper note to save his life either.
