i’m going to need a fanfic with the marauder’s era but it’s the triwizard tournament and regulus is chosen just like how harry was chosen (regulus is 15-16)
he’s chosen from beauxbatons, james is chosen from hogwarts, barty is chosen from durmstrang, and evan is chosen from beauxbatons also and is reg’s close friend.
it’s centered on rosekiller and jegulus, none of them die (ahem cedric ahem) and it’s got a happy ending.
but just imagine the enemies to lovers. imagine regulus seeing his brother in hogwarts and it’s the summer after he escaped. and the yule ball, where barty takes regulus and james takes evan just to make their crushes jealous, unaware that it’s not actually unreciprocated.
for the second task where they must retrieve a “treasure” that had been stolen from them by the merpeople, they don’t exactly get their partner as most people may assume they do. barty gets his mum, regulus gets dorcas, james gets sirius, and evan gets pandora (she and dorcas came with evan and regulus as one of those girls in the main entrance show for beauxbatons, which is how they’re there)
wolfstar is more of a background ship, they’re already together.

everyone always says how rosekiller’s love is dark, unsettling, dangerous, and all things evil. and i agree with that wholeheartedly, of course.
but that doesn’t mean i don’t imagine rosekiller…
going on cute dates. cuddling while watching television late at night. dancing by the fireplace on christmas eve. buying each other sappy little gifts that one of them mentioned once and the other remembered. having a little girl they both adore and love to death. one of them craving junk food at three in the morning so the other searches for a place that’s open 24/7 so they go right then and there.
all those who are disturbed don’t make them any less human, after all, and that’s so rosekiller.

Marauder’s Era if they went to Fright Night

James Potter:
Terrified for his life. Never wants to come here again, even though he says that every year and still arrives on time.
It’s kinda funny cause he’s a tall, muscular dude, so people are afraid of him, but he’s just standing there shitting his pants over shorter men in masks.
Sirius teases him and tells him he'd fit in perfectly with all these sexy hunks here, and James violently shakes his head no, even though he knows he would SERVEEE.
When he gets jumpscared, he's the type to sweet-talk. "Oh, you look like you'd enjoy cookies! How about I bake them for you if you let me go, eh?!" When they're literally drenched in blood. Granted, it's fake, but still.
He actually does sign up for the job at the end of the day, though, surprisingly.
BONUS: Barty and Evan are the ones who convinced him, because they worked there. He didn't recognize them at first until they started touching him, and he fucking flipped, screaming and shit until they took off their masks. He's just like "Oh, hey guys!"
Sirius Black:
Sirius would love to work there, but he knows he'd get fired on the first day. In all honesty, he doesn't even know how Barty hasn't gotten fired. Probably thanks to Evan, who's got pretty puppy eyes.
He's short, so most of the scare actors go to him, thinking he's a petite girl, but then he turns around, all muscular and bitch-faced, so he scares the actual actors to death.
He's low-key hinting to Remus to apply for the job because he'd look great half-naked. Remus tells him not all of them are half-naked, and Sirius ignores him.
When he gets jumpscared, he's the type to flirt with them. "My oh my, look at those eyes. Absolutely vibrant in the color shit brown." and it's always the ones that don't reciprocate the flirtatious vibe.
He scares little kids. He steals the masks from Marlene and attacks the running children. When the parents yell at him, he scolds them for even bringing a young child to a place like this. I mean, he's not wrong.
BONUS: When Remus actually signs up for the job with James, Sirius goes every October, every single day, with Remus to work, and every time they stumble into each other, Sirius leads him to a secret spot and makes-the-everloving-fuck-out with him. They somehow don't get caught, besides Regulus and Evan a couple of times.
Remus Lupin:
Remus has thought about working there before because he doesn't usually let himself be so free and scary, and he knows he can do it because he's known to be an intimidating bitch. Sirius is what confirms it for him that it's a good idea. And James, of course, don't forget about him!
He gets bored and upset because scare actors don't approach him. It's later he finds out, by Barty and Evan, that it was because he already looked like he was one, and he's a scary motherfucker. He takes pride in this, as he should.
He spots James getting touched by two of the same scare actors sometimes, and points it out to Sirius, who is so sure that Regulus, Barty, and Evan are going to whoop their asses, but then Remus says that they are Barty and Evan, and Sirius starts to attack them for touching his best friend. Remus watches this go down with absolute joy, and Reg laughs beside him.
When he gets jumpscared, rarely, he's the type to keep a straight face. He'll get the most jaw-dropping, toe-curling, gut-wrenching, vomit-inducing type of jumpscare and just stand there 🧍♂️ looking at them right in the eyes. The actors just walk away after a solid minute.
Peter Pettigrew:
Peter doesn't want to work there; he just goes to hang out with his friends and support them. He often gets jumpscared by them and acts afraid, though a tad bit over-dramatically. They do it to him because it makes them laugh, the way he responds differently every time.
He's short, too, though no one mistakes him for a girl. He gets the normal amount of jump scares, he'd say. He doesn't attract anyone's eyes or words, so he's just minding his own business with some snacks he bought.
He's known to be the observant friend, so he does, in fact, notice every little thing. He doesn't tell anyone a word, though; he's just there. Watching. Always knowing. He's seen Sirius and Remus during working hours, he's seen James and his boyfriends, and he's seen Dorcas and Marlene. He's seen it all.
When he gets scared, he's the type to laugh nervously and clap them on the back. He laughs like Santa Claus, too, just for the added white dad effect.
Lily Evans:
She doesn't work there, and she doesn't plan on working there, either. She doesn't go that often either, preferring to give candy to kids more. But whenever she does, she mostly ignores the scare actors.
She's short as well, but just like Peter, she attracts normal and sane scare actors, who just try to scare her. She isn't that eager to get jumpscared.
She spends most of her time with Mary, just getting some snacks and food, because Mary genuinely has an irrational fear of being jumpscared. She comes rarely, so when she doesn't, Lily just facetimes her the whole time.
When she gets jumpscared, she's the type to ignore them and busy herself with something else, sweating bricks and acting like they're not there. I can imagine everyone staring at her in absolute concern because like?? Lily?? You okay??? And Barty is just frowning at his unsuccessful attempts every time.
Mary Macdonald:
She doesn't work there either, and never wants to. She doesn't even like going there because she usually gets so scared, poor girl.
She's short, but taller than Lily, and the scare actors can sense her fear, so she gets jumpscared A LOT, which just makes Lily upset.
Barty, Evan, James, Marlene, and/or Remus notice and whenever they do, they make sure to butt in and tell the actor to fuck off.
She's attached to Lily whenever they go, but she often just stays at home and gives out candy to the kids. She'll FaceTime Lily and laugh a bit when her other friends get jumpscared, or jumpscare.
When she gets jumpscared, she's the type to freeze up and forget her whole backstory lore. Girl forgets her name, her identity, her family, the whole shebang. Most scare actors get concerned at her reaction because she genuinely doesn't move. Her whole body locks up.
Marlene McKinnon:
She works there, and she joined with Barty and Evan at first, since the boys do everything with each other. They have the time of their lives teaming up and scaring either one individual or multiple people.
She’s pretty short, but she looks menacing and intimidating, so a lot of people run away from her before she can even jump-scare them, and it ruins her whole mood. Her day is now trashed.
She mostly wanders away from her friend group, scaring people and bullying little kids. If she sees one of her friends in costume, she’ll interact and agree to scare someone with them because it’s hilarious.
She forgets she has makeup on and accidentally wipes it off. Doesn’t realize until she’s spending time with Dorcas a bit, and she points it out. Starts panicking because now she knows why people weren’t scared of her after some time.
BONUS: She actually likes it when people flirt with her out of fear, or because they’re one of those TikTok girls. It boosts her confidence, and she also just loves to make other people thirst over her. Barty’s the same way, Evan and Remus don’t care, and James acts all shy when they do. Dorcas hates this part because she can’t stop it, unless Marlene genuinely flirts back, which she’d never do.
Dorcas Meadowes:
She doesn't work there, even though she knows she'd be great at it. She just doesn't think she'd be able to maintain her sanity doing that job all October. She does drop them all off, and she'll go spend the night at a fast-food chain or a party.
She's very tall. Not as tall as Remus, but she's James' height. If she were to step inside with her friends, I feel like they'd mistake her for a scare actor. She's tall, and she screeches at any child or actor who approaches her.
I feel like she's the type to drop her friends off for work there without a single complaint, but dropping her friends off there nearly every day for the whole month just for them to go have fun would be torture.
Her friends always ambush her with all the funny stories and the shit they'd seen that day. Barty comes over with another story of someone trying to sit on his face, and meanwhile, James comes over with a story about how he felt bad making some kid cry, so he gave them candy.
She finds Marlene sexy when she's in her whole get-up. It's concerning, but she'll tell her friends to record her so she can send it to Dorcas. She's literally one of those girls when it comes to Marlene in her scare outfit.
Regulus Black:
I don't know why I feel like Reg would work in a game booth as an attendant. The ones were they have to throw a ball at something to win a prize, but it's rigged as shit so he just robs them all of their money.
He'd get the job because he wants to see his boyfriends at work, of course. I can imagine them just sliding by, yanking him in for a kiss, and just leaving him all giggly and dazed.
He's decently tall, taller than Sirius, so that says something. He does look very bitchy and he's rude, actually, and some people thing it's just him playing a role, but it's not LMAO
Is the type to collect clips and pics of his boyfriends, make edits of them with sexy audios, and post them on an anonymous account. His boyfriends are always awed at the edits, wondering who it could be; meanwhile, Reg is just sitting there, cackling to himself evilly.
He takes smoke breaks so he just walks around either alone or with his friends, which is when he sees his brother and Remus sucking face somewhere. He will be dramatic and gagging, running away while booing at them.
BONUS: He gets jumpscared by his boyfriends and he definitely shits his pants, but he doesn't say a single thing. He acts like his heart didn't drop to his ass at that second, especially when it takes him a moment to realize who it is under the costume. Will also for sure drag said boyfriend(s) to a secluded spot and be a hypocrite.
Barty Crouch Jr:
We all know he works there. My guy signed up for the job the second he found out his father thought it was stupid. He's a petty queen.
He enjoys seeing the fear on people's faces. It brings him joy to know he had that power over them. He's a scary one and will actually chase you and tackle you the more you try to run away.
He's not super tall; he's shorter than Evan, but he's the type to be wearing a half-naked or sexy horror fit. Like, it's scary, but why on earth are his abs out and about??? It's fall, sir.
Will comment on the edits made of him, and if someone's response is to flirt when they're scared, he feeds into it. He will support delusion, and will make you think he's being serious. I assure you, he's laughing and cackling behind the face paint/mask he's wearing.
He gives James pep talks that are very aggressive: "Baby, I know you love giving those little kids candy, but they're gonna grow the fuck up and forget. DO YOUR JOB!" and it just makes James panic more. Evan's glaring daggers at him, and Regulus lectures him for doing that. They changed his contact name to Bartemius for a whole week, which is horrific.
BONUS: He doesn't think James can jumpscare. He knows Evan can, and he's very chill about it. And so can Marlene; he knows the girl goes crazy. But James? No way. That's until he scares a dude so bad, he screams bloody murder, pisses his pants, then runs away. James is just standing there like "???" and Barty is wondering why the fuck he was into that.
Evan Rosier:
I think it's pretty obvious why and how he works there. Barty says he's applying for the job, so Evan decided to do the same exact thing. These two are a bit too codependent, aren't they?
Honestly, he's pretty normal about his job. He scares whoever he has to scare, and he does an amazing job at it. He's swift, so chasing after others isn't a problem. The only issue are the girls who try to flirt with him, which he just sprints the fuck away from without an issue. His boyfriends tease him about it, but Evan can tell there's a hint of possessiveness there.
He also goes around topless like Barty, but he doesn't draw attention to it like Barty and James do. Yeah, sure, he's got some soft abs, but it's not something he flaunts. If anything, he'll slide a (fake) bloody hand onto Barty's or James's stomach/waist to drive them a little crazy.
There are edits of him, of course, but it's not shocking that there are more edits of people shipping him and his boyfriends together, since they're all so close and have 'bromance' energy. Little do those people know it's not acting...
He's surprisingly affectionate with the little kids there, and especially the little girls. He's also very kind and doesn't try to jumpscare his friends, but he manages to do so by accident, which always makes Sirius die of laughter. He's also very soft with James, Pandora, and any of the girls. He's just a gentleman.
BONUS: He doesn't change until he gets home. Honestly, my guy just wants to go home and doesn't have the damn energy to change and undress with everyone else. Barty occasionally does the same, but it's mostly to fuck each other in their costumes while doing so. He does undress for his boyfriends each and every time, and he only lets them watch. He knows the effect he has on his lovers, of course.
Pandora Rosier:
She doesn't work there and doesn't want to, but she does find it hilarious when people get scared by her friends, because she knows them and they aren't scary at all. Okay, so maybe Evan's a little scary, but that's just intimidation!
She likes to ride the rollercoasters there, or go play some of the games there, and win a cute little dragon plushie. She likes buying the sugary sweet stuff, especially a caramel apple. She just minds her own business, but her job, according to her, is to buy food to feed her friends if they haven't had the time to eat.
She wears her interesting little outfits, with all her jewelry and witchy things. She has so many crystals on her, which she often gets many compliments for. They do compare her to Evan and ask her if they're siblings, which she always replies with, "He's my long-lost twin brother, actually!"
She's very observant, so she notices nearly everything that her friends do. She does tease them about it later, especially the secret little meetups and shit that they've got going on. She's very supportive, and she comes every year for them.
BONUS: She bags a date, of course. All because of her style, her personality, and because this guy named Xenophilius was really adamant on winning a prize for her. Evan also doesn't trust this guy because that's his sister the fuck??
