Okay - how do we feel about Krycek/Marita. Do we think they actually liked each other, or nah? Is that the fandom projecting, in our horny way (blessed be)?

I think it's more complicated than Mulder and Scully's relationship. Which isn't a surprise, since both are shades of Dark!Mulder and Dark!Scully: hands-on in the work, but 100% self-interested and 0% sacrificial. They keep a few buttons loose, give in to their desires, and prove why the lead characters don't often indulge in frenetic passions: Krycek loses his evidence, Marita is infected with black oil. (You can't afford distraction in a world that's waiting to destroy you.)

Also, Nick Lea enjoyed that side of Krycek--

June 1998: Nevertheless, Krycek's comeback in the latest X-Files two-parter – released on video this month as 'File 12: Patient X' – is well worth waiting for. This is mainly because Lea gets to have a steamy, stormy and totally unexpected 'love scene' with Marita Covarrubias (Laurie Holden), Special Representative to the UN Secretary General.

"The fact that you got to see Krycek actually have a personal slash-sexual encounter with somebody was exciting, because you'd never seen that aspect of the character before there was never any hint of that fire," he says. "It came out of left-field, and I think it surprised a lot of people."

It isn't love. It's loathing and passion, and later shades of disgust and surprise and acceptance. In my opinion, there isn't much love or hate lost between them: they glower, they undress with unrighteous motives, they soften when the world is falling apart. In One Son and Requiem they realize there is no one else left to do what needs to be done except each other. They throw Mulder to the stars and leave Scully bereaved with as little emotion as they toss CSM down the stairs and walk away toward freedom: a mutual selfishness that will split them inevitably if they don't aim for the same goal.

Mulder and Scully, by contrast, place each other above their aims. They also keep vigilant in a world which wishes to destroy them. They don't shed their clothes in a game of manipulation but choose each other in every other way, and finally in that final way after the world is saved (post-One Son and post-Millennium.) And they can live conscionably, peaceably with their choices (Closure and all things.)

Krycek is a conflicted man: capable of great cruelty but not without a coward's conscience. Marita is a disillusioned woman: one who follows orders yet suffers the consequences of fate. Unlike Diana Fowley, who keeps her hands clean enough to run along CSM's and Mulder's shoulders, Marita ventures into the field and suffers the consequences. And when the Consortium flees to safety, she's left to the mercy of tarnished heroes and antiheroes. They are two people who have set aside their humanity to save themselves (but lie and say "the world"), and find that the human soul can't bear it. Humanity seeks shreds of reality in unreality: in this case, they cast about for light, sacrifice their bodies, regret, yet have no other shadow of good to call back upon except each other (Requiem.)

It's a more complicated conundrum of fate v. freewill that Mulder and Scully wrangle with: was it chosen for them or did they choose it in some unspoken way?

What pulled you into writing and what makes you continue to do it?

i think what pulled me into writing was a combination of things. namely, my greed. i’ve simply wanted “more” of reality my entire life. i want more from a book, more from a movie, more from television, more from a feeling, a moment, everything. i want the extremes and to see the impossible.  wanting “more” from stories was really where it started, modifying stories I heard and turning them into ones I personally liked better. then when i realized fiction and fantasy was a thing, my brain latched onto that, creating my first character and story when i was 9 and living in france. 

what makes me continue to do it is the same. i am more greedy as an adult than i ever was as a child. i want to exist in my mind and nowhere else, to live amongst the dreams but at such safety i might have a chance of being saved just before i’m swallowed by them. i do enjoy sharing my stories, of course. i enjoy watching people faces when i tell them the story/when they read it, i love when someone is clearly in love with a character or loathes them. but, in no attempt to not sound egotistical, those are side accomplishments for me. i’m not the type of person that i need much outside validation, i will write if no one is to ever read it. i will write if everyone is going to read it. i write because i want more out of the page, more out of me. 

filling that bottomless greed-pit is the only thing that might possibly stop me, and if it ever gets full, i suppose i already have a shovel and am covered in mud, so i’ll simply dig another hole to fill

Do you like vampires ?

in game - not particularly, they just tend to annoy me ‘cus of their limitations and shit.

in real life? - fucc ye. in fact when I was 12/13 i spent a solid month absolutely convinced vampires were real and trying to figure out if I was one, more specifically an energy vampire that feeds on other people’s emotions. Turns out u don’t need to be a vampire to drain ppl emotionally

Y: A character you want to protect.

Uhhh…I don’t know if there is technically a person I always protect. I mean obviously I care about them all, but I’ve put most of them through the ringer in LH so I guess nobody’s off limits? But I do tend to protect Vanoss more than others, I think. Like it’s not very often I have him be the one in pain or have the huge loss or whatnot. He tends to be my ray of light. 

Z: Major character death–do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can’t tolerate?

Not too much. I never read em. Writing I can if the plot asks for it, but I need a REALLY REALLY good reason to. I’m kinda a wimp with angst. If angst happens, I refuse to accept it or write my own ending XD But if there is one like, specific person I can’t handle dead, it’s probably uh…Del? But don’t get me wrong; I can kill him it I have to.

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

Uhhh well….besides the ones I’ve already told you all about, I have a story about a Zodiac AU that I’m planning on eventually writing. Basically, the Zodiac are ancient Gods who need a ‘host’ and a war breaks out and it’s kinda complicated but it’s been a lot of fun to just randomly think off when I’m bored or avoiding responsibilities.

Who is the real monster of the love Triangle? I bet that people ignore that Chris and even his boss are involved in this affront.

I would call them more assholes than monsters. lol. But my opinion is that the real asshole would be a combination of Gwen and Duncan. 

If anything Chris would be the best one out of this whole situation. If Chris never purposely broke the lock, Tyler would of never walked in and saw them kissing. And Courtney wouldn’t have ever found out that her “best friend” has been making out with her boyfriend. 

People say that “Courtney is bossy” And yeah she is and sometimes a pain, but Duncan knows exactly what type of personality Courtney has! So if it upset him that much, he wouldn’t have even gotten back together with her before world tour, but he did anyways. That just tells me he still liked her, but wanted his cake and then some. 

I am not letting Gwen off though. She was just as bad as Duncan, neither of them were innocent. Only innocent I would say is Courtney, and she had every right to want Gwen and Duncan booted off. One of the things I like about Sierra is that she had common sense when it came to who’s fault it was, and stuck with Courtney. 

In the end these are just my opinions though, and it is just a cartoon, but with this question I am making it as if any of my friends, or me were in this scenario, and who would be to blame.

What do u think would happen if Abel met Cas? Or juice and Sam bonding over computers? Or jax and Dean being each other wing man's? What about Chuck and Gemma talking about their kids? Or Crowley being partners with Clay? What would happen if Happy and Alistair bonded over torture?

Im just going right into answering these questions. Alternate Universe or not.

I honestly think Abel would be caught off guard about Cas eventually he would get used of him. Abel would take his advantages asking and talking about his mom to Cas. I think Abel would want to reflect on how she was when she was alive because his dad wouldnt talk about her. (Well in my opinion anyway)

Sam and Juice would definitely be bonding over computers. They would be giving each other advice when it comes to security cameras and Juice would definitely teach Sam how to hack into the police files. if its not hacking than I think they would just bond over just about anything. Especially when it comes to organic foods.

I think Jax would be a good wing man for Dean (sorry for the short answer)

I think that Gemma would get pissed at Chuck for Thomas. He would try in so many ways to explain everything. Later Gemma would warm up to Chuck and they would both give each other advice about each others kids. Even though they are all adults. I think Chuck would even ask about grandparenthood, where as he never got that chance ish. The nephilim were just too dangerous in his eyes and he would be curious about it. He would want to live vicariously through her.

Clay and Crowley would be perfect when it comes to conspiring. Clay wants everything done and clean with no chance of anyone pointing anything to him. Crowley would definitely be the perfect person to conspire with, plus it would give him that image that he isnt going soft.

Happy and Alastair. Now there is a pair match made in hell. Or is it heaven? I dont know but they are literally made for each other. Besties right off the bat. Alastair would be teaching Happy about everything when it comes to torture and he would love every moment of it. Happy would be all wide eyed and bushy tailed throughout the whole lesson. When the lessons were done, he would be all anxious to try them out himself, well if the other guys would let him. More then likely anyway, anything to interrogate the shit out of anyone.
