Of course his parents would send him away, it makes sense, he truly honestly gets why.

In which Sirius gets taken into foster care and blames himself, and Remus makes him fall in love.

au where just after a 16 year old sirius runs away over yule (christmas) break & gets disinherited orion and walburga die and 15 year old regulus becomes lord black over night. officialy, they died in an undisclosed accident. unofficialy, they tried to apperate drunk and spliced themselves. in actuality, regulus killed them when he learnt they were planning to ruin the potters - not to get sirius back but to make it no one would ever want him. andromeda has been disenherited and bellatrix already married rodolphus. only him and narcissa are left and she's six years older and will be married before the next regulus is young and lonely. so decides to get himself his own fiance, too proud to admit he wants sirius back after he left him. dorcas, who is a lesbian and shagging marlene mckinnon and a year older than him, is the perfect option. she's one of his best friends and her family had been getting a bit agitated lately. it was common for purebloods to be getting betrothed at sixteen so the line would be sure to stay pure and dorcas, despite nearing seventeen had declined every proposal. she agrees despite not knowing his motives because she knows regulus.

marlene who is from a more progressive pureblood family in so far that they are for muggle born rights and allow her dalliances with women, still expect her to marry a proper pureblood man. her choice would have been sirius because he had no interest in marrying a women - too in love with remus -, but then he got disinherited and now her parent refure to hear of it. so instead she turns to james. peter and remus too half-blood. despite beter being good enough for her parents to be her childhood friend. james, who had always dreamed of marrying for love and would have been allowed to marry even a muggle born but would do anything for his friends agrees.
