His members didnt know you guys were actually serious, let alone living together. So imagine their shock when they find one bed and- one closet??
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
by the time cortis is celebrating their third anniversary, you and james have already been living together quietly. both of you are private, both of you careful, both of you trained under bighit long enough to know how to keep something precious safe.
what no one else knew yet was that the two of you had naturally merged your wardrobes.
it had happened slowly. james’s black hoodies ended up on your side of the rack. your oversized tees somehow migrated into his drawers. he borrowed your jackets whenever he ran out for practice. you wore his button-ups during late-night editing sessions. nobody talked about it because it felt normal.
it isn’t until you move into a new apartment that the truth becomes obvious.
james stands in the middle of the bedroom, folding your sweaters with the same laser focus he uses in the studio. “these go on the left,” he says. “mine on the right. but the middle is shared.”
you raise a brow. “shared.”
“yeah.” he doesn’t look up, but his ears are red. “they’ve been shared for a long time.”
you smile at him, soft and teasing. “so we’re officially a shared-closet couple.”
“we’ve been one,” he murmurs. “i’m just labeling it now.”
he comes over, tugs you forward by the sleeve. “your clothes smell better anyway. i like them mixed with mine.”
you hide your face in his shoulder because he is too earnest for your heart.
the chaos begins when cortis decides to drop by the new place after a schedule.
martin walks in first, talking loudly about being hungry. juhoon is right behind him, looking for the snack cabinet. seonghyeon is filming everything for memories. keonho follows, already kicking off his shoes like he owns the place.
none of them mean to snoop, but it takes less than ten minutes for juhoon to accidentally open the closet door.
he stops dead.
“hyung,” he calls, voice shaking. “come here. all of you. hurry.”
they gather in the doorway.
the closet looks like an aesthetic pinterest board. color-coded hangers. your tops mixed beside james’s monochrome shirts. your perfume next to his cologne. matching fuzzy slippers. a single shared accessory tray. the middle section completely merged.
martin blinks fast. “this is… wow. this is married behavior.”
keonho squats down to look at the matching slippers. “hyung… did you two buy these together.”
james appears behind them holding a pack of chocolate milk. “why are you in my closet.”
juhoon points at the clothes. “our question is… when did you two start living like a k-drama couple.”
martin crosses his arms. “you didn’t even announce the soft launch.”
james looks at the closet like he honestly forgot it wasn’t normal.
“we live together,” he says. “of course our closet is shared.”
everyone yells at once.
“you didn’t tell us you live together from the beginning.”
“i feel betrayed.”
“this is so domestic i want to scream.”
“hyung how long have you been folding each other’s laundry.”
you walk into the hall, cheeks warm from embarrassment. “guys, it’s not that serious.”
seonghyeon shakes his head like he has witnessed a national event. “no. this is very serious. this is life-changing.”
james slides an arm around your waist without thinking, and the room explodes again.
martin puts a hand over his heart. “he did it. he did the waist grab. i can’t watch.”
keonho looks at james like he’s seeing him for the first time. “hyung is grown.”
james rests his chin lightly on your shoulder, sweet and calm despite the chaos. “they’re being dramatic.”
you whisper, “a little.”
he squeezes your waist. “i like our closet.”
you smile. “me too.”
juhoon, still staring, adds, “it’s actually really cute.”
martin nods. “fine. i ship it officially.”
keonho beams. “it’s domestic james era.”
seonghyeon films the moment. “coer needs to see this.”
“no,” james says immediately.
“too late,” seonghyeon replies.
later that night, once the members leave with takeout and teasing still echoing down the hall, james pulls you gently into the closet again.
“i like sharing space with you,” he says. “this feels like home.”
you lace your fingers through his. “it is home.”
he kisses you softly, surrounded by your clothes and his clothes and every small piece of life you’ve built together.
and he smiles against your lips like he plans to share closets with you for a very long time.
Turbo strolls through the fairly civilized Middle Floors of Skal'garrn, where the middle class actually lives.
Alas, hybrids aren’t particularly welcome there, so all that’s left is to sneak glances at a “normal” world — a world where you don’t have to think about hunting just to survive, peering into the dangerous, long-abandoned depths of the garn.
Summary: He shuts the hologram off before it has the chance to turn back around. He knows how it ends: it'll shrug and then smile sadly and then say goodbye. But this wasn't a goodbye. Not at all.
If anything, it was a hello.

an incident of fate (and dumplings) by majestaekim

Summary: Jimin knows now that all of this anger and hurt comes from more than just that fight. It would make no sense otherwise—he was drunk and crying to Yoongi-hyung in a bar, for crying out loud, very late at night. This was the perfect time to surrender and accept that all this was just the result of all the things and feelings Taehyung awakens inside of him instead of—you know, a damn dumpling.
All Jimin needs to know is where he goes from here on, now.

Kyle’s heart was racing, his palms were sweating and his mouth was dry. He didn’t dare cough or attempt to move because he couldn’t take his eyes off the stunning vision in white that was slowly moving towards him.
Her hair was flowing over her shoulders; her eyes filled with love and her lips curled into a wide smile.
He knew this wasn’t her first time down the aisle but Isobel knew it would be her last. She never expected to fall for a doctor yet here they were.
Kyle reached for her hand, smiling, she grinned back. Finally home.
