both me and @coolertheworm have funny little cartoon clown neopets who live in the Haunted Woods, so i wanted to draw them together!

tragically, Fuzebox is not as enthusiastic about the noble art of clownery as Schneedles is

Finished off @fuzebox‘s My Hero Academia character Axom Shot.  again, I’m not going to spoil what his quirk is, but I’m really proud of some of the details I added to his costume.

Go-Rider Sentai Yellow

A while back, @fuzebox drew a series of Sentai-themed poke anthros based on the Ride Pokemon from Sun/Moon.  Well, I decided to do some gift art for him featuring the Sharpedo Ranger as well as to test my ability do do a shark anthro.  The result I feel turned out well.  

Later I plan to also design a Trident for him (weapon decided by Fuze himself).

thinking of maybe ditching the canon palette (image 1) for a palette inspired by some of the traditional drawings ive done of them (image 2) but i DO like how the eyes pop in the first one... HMmmm

also i left off the costume tail because i didn't feel like trying to make its silhouette clear in the sprite + make it obvious that its not an actual tail and just drags on the ground. it fell off

i feel like i have these sizes off, which is not great for a height chart. Cecil and Fizziwhiz (the two orbs on the second row) should probably be smaller... Synthaphone (mutant aisha) should maybe also be a little smaller.

but do i want to have to edit their sprites more.... i WAS already thinking that maybe i should add more contrast/potentially outlines to the top row of guys, because a lot of them are really unclear at 100% scale, but that's a lot easier than making them smaller would be.

main thing i've learned from doing this: doing a height chart as tiny ass sprites is perhaps not the best idea i have ever had!!! lol.

exaggeration is helpful for clarity in sprites, so if you keep the proportions accurate to the official designs the sprites don't look as good + clear as they would if you stylized them- like, a good example is to compare a pokemon like mewtwo's sprites to its 3D model/official non sprite art. the sprites have bigger heads, extremities, and facial features proportionally (especially in older games where they had a smaller max size to work with) and they look a hell of a lot better than, say, mewtwo's gen 6 model with its canon proportions looks at the same size

anyway. after i finish Fuzebox, maybe i'll take a pause from these, duplicate the file, scale them up, do flat color largeass drawings Bigstyle to function as an actual height chart, and then go back to these and let myself be more lenient with scale and proportions so that i can make them look a little nicer for what they are

i tried editing it to be a little cleaner but i honestly can’t decide which i prefer. at the end of the day traditional inking is just very frustrating
