also, whoever anon-recc'd gamegrumps to me: OK SO LIKE. I watched some eps and it was pretty amusing in a "tune out but listen while I watch the dishes" kind of way, which is cool bc I like to have background noise sometimes anyway it was the level of gam3r dudebr0 shenanigans and isms that I expected and I was like "ugh w/e" but then th e n oh my god why did no one warn me about the dog island one that was honestly some of the most throwback hardcore auditory racism I've heard on a LONG while. like, was the "hahaha this is so racist we're being so racist rn" commentary supposed to make it better?!??? what did I listen to

fun character idea?

the dorky younger sibling of one of the protagonists that gets constantly brushed aside on their adventure. They’re sort of fascinated with history, the just tend to know those questionable everyday life facts about extinct cultures and dead languages. constantly making mock relics and attempting on going on archaeological in their back yard. carrying around all of their ‘findings’ and having existential crises about if they’re appropriating the cultures that they love when they attempt to emulate some of the cultural cosmetically observed practices. 

one day while the older kids are on an adventure this little nerd tags along, decked out in only minor amounts of questionable symbolic cultural cosmetics and bringing some real ‘prized finds’ from their latest dig. After much persuading they’re allowed to join the adventure. But after the older kids lead the group to an abandoned and ill-advised locale (like the shadow-lands or the drop-off) something that this wee dork had brought along seemed to awaken some long forgotten mysteries....

I can't decide between watching Game of Thrones or Mama. Typically I prefer to watch scary movies in the afternoon so I have the rest of the day to cope with the fact that I'm scared out of my mind before sitting in the dark waiting to sleep. Not to mention that if I'm afraid of the trailers, the movie's gonna be a bajillion times worse. I'll probably torture myself with Mama though. And liveblog my emotional descent into hell for the amusement of my followers.
