Sometimes when Emilie was incredibly bored, she would go to the atelier to find Gabriel and Nathalie completely fixated on their screens, not even bothering to look up when she loudly announced her arrival. Striding over to Gabriel and kissing his neck — the only thing she could reach — only got her a “Sorry, my love, I have to finish this.” With a huff, she sought out her second victim, making her way around the desk and flopping sideways onto Nathalie’s lap. “I also have to work, dear,” Nathalie said to Emilie’s puppy eyes in her peripheral vision, one hand holding Emilie’s waist and the other clicking away on the computer mouse. But Emilie wasn’t one to give up, so she shaped Nathalie’s mouth to a kiss/fish face with two fingers until Nathalie turned to place a small kiss on Emilie’s mouth. “May I continue my work now?” Nathalie asked with a wry smile. “One more, and I’ll leave,” Emilie agreed triumphantly. This time, Nathalie’s arm left the desk to embrace Emilie’s ribcage while the other cupped her face to press one long kiss to her lips. When Emilie glanced over to her husband afterwards, she found that he had actually looked up from his screen. With a start, she was already out of Nathalie’s lap and through the door, while Gabriel and Nathalie wondered — though hardly surprised — what had just happened in the mind of Emilie Agreste.
