For a series of postcards / posters. The turtle is inspired on the “tortoise shell” shape in go, the shape of black stones he has on his back. The penguins are studying go on a vibrant day on Antarctica. It’s game 2, move 37 from the Lee Sedol - AlphaGo showdown. Do you remember this amazing shoulder-hit on the fifth line?

I haven’t posted anything here in a while. This drawing was inspired on the Lee Sedol - AlphaGo showdown, and game 4 move 78 in particular. The background is done through a technique called paper marbling. Or “ebru” in Turkish. Part of a series of postcards on go. Please check out www.murugandi.com for more of my artwork.
