With a new Free Comic Book Day comes a new cosplay! This year I did Batwoman from the DC Bomshell series which features her in a ultra-cute baseball outfit! My good friend Gam-Gam (her nickname) whipped the dress together in a few days for me. This outfit would NOT have come together without her!!!❤️❤️❤️ My best friend Amanda gave me her old Grell wig which I washed up and restyled (my own red wig went missing 😭). I am SO grateful because this wig turned out to be the most perfect, gorgeous shade of red! Amanda’s boyfriend, Sean, gave me his old baseball cap which I then spent all night coloring black 😂😅 my own SO Tom whipped together the ears and the Batwoman symbol on the front! I didn’t draw on the mask but I am still SO happy with how this cosplay turned out!!!!! I feel like it looks good, it was definitely comfortable, and I absolutely *adore* Batwoman so this was a super fun test for how I’d do as her :’D Also free comic book day (and any excuse to cosplay) is always such a blast. I can’t explain how much Gambit has become a part of my life ☺️💕

Did I ever mention that I love my job? Cause I fucking love my job. This past Sunday at work was MLP Friendship Day, an event jam-packed with kids having their faces painted with cutie marks, a 20% sale on ALL things MLP in the store, Everypony Trivia, cosplay, coloring, and sessions of the MLP Tales of Equestria RPG run by a staff member! I personally cosplayed Princess Celestia while one of my best friends cosplayed Princess Luna. All in all I wasn't sure if I was going to like this cosplay (or look good in it) but I was so pleasantly surprised!! 😍 The dress was from Savers and edited by myself and two friends to have strips of sparkling pastel green, blue, purple, and pink fabric strips flowing all around the bottom to match Celestia's hair while a gold sash held it together in the middle. The wig, ears, wings, and horn were a bundle from Yaya Han's Etsy. The torque and crown were made in five hours the day previous by my beloved boyfriend Tom who is a fucking prop wizard <3 The gold lipstick was actually liquid eyeshadow from LUSH; i used pastel pink and blue eyeshadow with a black eyeliner wing and gold glitter on the inner corners; I used the opal and sapphire options on KvD's alchemist holographic palette. I'm actually really excited to wear Celestia again, hopefully for next years Friendship Day!

Happy Halloween the Third! 👻 We're allowed to dress up all month at the game store I work at (Gamers Gambit in Danbury!) so of course I took part! I was SUPER exhausted on Halloween the first after the absolutely amazing experience I had judging at the Hartford Pokémon regional championship 😀 while I wished I could've dressed up at work, I also regret absolutely nothing about going to shadow at the regional. I was super nervous but...i loved89 the experience ☺️😊 But yeah! So yesterday I wasn't feeling too well--I've always wanted a witch hat so I bought one at Spirit. Today I was a generic wood scout! I forgot my elf ears at home so I rolled with the punches and did a basic ranger-chick. I thought maybe it would be good enough 😊 I can't wait till tomorrow! Still dunno what I'll do...

So today my store ran a Pokémon TCG prerelease for the newest set, Evolutions! In celebration of the Prerelease I dressed up as a shiny Umbreon (borrowed the hat and wig from my beautiful co-worker Rajani), which I think is the comfiest wig I've ever worn!! Randomly but--I am so proud to have led a team who handled today so beautifully well. We had some hiccups through the event due to the software we have to use for the TCG but everyone handled it so calmly and still had fun today <3 likewise I am so graced as an adult to judge such a nostalgic set! Evolutions is based almost completely off of the original Base set that came out in the 90's! They added a few new EXs but the artwork for any other regular card is the exact same as the one from my childhood :')
