And I broke the game

I don't really know what happened. Suddenly I couldn't finish any quests anymore. Like when I cleared a rebel camp, the game kept telling me I needed to kill the rebel leader even though I already did, or i couldn't move to the next step in a quest because characters or machines you were supposed to interact with were missing.

Going back to an older save didn't help. Starting a new game led to the screenshots above.

I fear I have to reinstall the game and start all over again. Bummer :(

An observation I made that happened to some games I've played:

This can lead to people losing interest in a game and Could cause the death of the game in a worst case scenario (only if the rest of the game is oversaturated and has problems as well).

Examples I can give from my experience:

Brawl Stars (From real weapons to silly ones, less new rares and super rares and more epics/mythics/legendaries, overly complex brawlers, ultra legendary rarity)

Genshin Impact (Powercreep trend that started with Neuvillette, Natlan characters having overly complicated kits and being P2W because they feel mandatory for exploration, the land of dinosaurs having pixel holograms, Dj turntables and MOTORBIKES)

And I'm afraid Forsaken will suffer the same fate because of Veeronica and Guest666. I mean just look at them.

I hope you liked this illustration and I hope it got the message across...the only problem I have with it is that I've grown a bit attached to these bright colored fighter guys I came up with in a few minutes even though they're supposed to be the "bad ones"...

OH, AND REMEMBER!: Even if you agree that a videogame that wants to be successful should be more consistent and fair, you can't really apply the same thing to OCs and fanmade game characters!

A lot of oc artists (like me) don't actually work with game companies (I mean they don't at least to my knowledge), and passionate artists can come up with the wildest ideas, because they have no limits.

DON'T HARRASS ANY ARTIST THAT JUST WANTS TO HAVE FUN! Thank you!

Why the hell can’t I join my fellow hunters??

Long story short, bought game, can’t figure out why I can’t play on Linux, triggered an “Anti-Temper” error from switching proton versions every nanosecond (probably), can’t play it windows due to said restriction, pray that I can play after restriction expires (major copium)

Apparently, I didn’t frickin read the warning while booting the game on Linux regarding my GPU after half an hour figuring out why I can’t play. Windows works fine bc of the drivers already updated (probably) and of course silly lil’ me thought it would carry over to Linux. I can play Hogwarts Legacy just fine on both OSs but for some reason MHS3 is a wee bit much. Shame that it didn’t work straight out of the box mostly because of me as I forgot that I played the demo on the Windows OS not Linux. No wonder it doesn’t work.

Don’t get me wrong, the demo is great and have high hopes for full version, but since the full game didn’t want to play due to my own incompetence and restricted for at the moment, I hope that I don’t refund this game yet.

are we gonna talk about how the ratio of male playable characters to female playable characters in Genshin? as of 5.6 there are 33 male characters and 64 female characters. that's twice as many women as there are men in the playable character category. and lately we've been getting nothing but female characters for 5 stars, several of which have felt less like women and more like objects to sell (looking at you, Varesa and Escoffier. I mourn the divas you could've been). Genshin has a problem with releasing tons of fanservicey female characters that aren't even well written or treated like people. I really miss Fontaine, Navia was my absolute favorite in that nation. heck, I miss Mualani and Kachina. they felt like actual characters and not just marketable things that look pretty but have nothing else going for them. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything better from the same company that made Honkai Impact 3rd... but even with that game they still did pretty well with characterization, especially later in the game. idk, man, I just want my women in Genshin to be treated like people instead of just products. is that really too much to ask for?

Computer / Gaming side of tumbler, Help??

so like.. I have this thing that happens on my computer when I try to play video games.. not every game does it, and it's not studio specific either,

idk how to explain it so here's some screenshots:

I don't have screenshots but, A Date With Death - by Two and a Half Studio also lagged this way, the background of Casper's room would lag like that

and another game all the backgrounds did this but I can't remember which it was and I don't have the time to go through all my games at 3:30 a.m. lol

all the games I have that do these were obtained through Itch. io and unzipped/extracted with WinRAR with "extract here" function

whether I run games as administrator or not does not change anything to this issue

the only issue my pc could have that I can think of is, I *am* running these on a 14 y/o graphics card (2010)

it's genuinely not a great graphics card, but it also can run games like Genshin Impact & Zenless Zone Zero with little to no problems

has anyone else ever encountered this issue? if so, did you manage to fix it/ how?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling games, it does not work

I know it's a minor issue, but it does often ruin my gaming experience on games I am certain I could genuinely love otherwise

I've looked online and either I just can't describe the issue well enough to find a solution, or just no one else has had this issue before, which I doubt lmao, I also looked in all the games' comment sections on itch. io and it doesn't seem like anyone else has these issues...
