Here's a cleaned up fashion sketch I did for Head Inquisitor Sambra.

I have a bunch of these that I did while trying to nail down an aesthetic and culture for the city of Menzoberranzan. I pulled a lot from Edwardian fashion to make it distinct from the late medieval period that I based most of the surface off of.

Drow Inquisitor of the First Ward of Menzoberranazan.

I made him look quite calm and simple here but he has been a menace to our party. Being one of the longest lived drow in the city he has a formidable amount of skills and resources at his disposal. Formal portrait to come.

The Mysterious Woman. Someone who has been hunting Raziel in Menzoberranazan. Why does she need his soul ? we've been in the city for almost a month, why now? Something I'm sure we'll find out in this weeks session.

I'm sure I'll return to this piece, I want to depict her more elegantly and intimidating, this is a piece pulled from the sketchbook and colored.

I'm really happy with the original lines on this one.

This past year I've been working on faces and expressions, wanting characters to be recognizable and distinct. It's always nice to see progress on a goal.

Shadow sorcerer and brother to the inquisitor of the second ward of Menzoberranzan. A man of few words, born to a destiny he seems to indifferent to.

We have yet to really meet him in the campaign. Only seeing glimpses of him in his sister's shadow, I'm sure that's about change though.

Ami, resident of Menzoberranzan. She has a mysterious past, dresses sharp and runs into our party quite often.

I've been putting a lot of thought into what life in Menzoberranzan is like for the average citizen, from what they wear to what drinks are served on the bars. According to Ami, not great accessibility of the disabled, something she's pretty vocal about.

The version of Menzoberranzan in our setting differs a good deal from the source material. More stuff for me to share in the future.

Two of our favorite antagonists in Menzoberranzan. The inquisitors get quite a lot of characterization in our campaign, more of them to come. The process for making this one took a couple unexpected turns so I’ll be posting in the process later for those interested.
