Under the mask | Solis

. . . Oh ? Take off my mask ? Well . . . At least show me the basic kindness of looking me in the eyes, will you ?

I'm still so - so towards Mega Man, but I feel like I can finally flesh out Solis how I want to proper

Was never sure how to show his disfigurment and disability ( blindness ) , but finally figured it out. The head gem connects to his helmet to act as eyes, but it's not the same as actual sight ( limited extent, acting more as calculations based of speed, angles, almost more like a visualized sense of echolocation )

Helmet on or off, he genuinely can't see, but helmet off, he has to rely on his senses more strongly than the helm's developed foresight calculations.

Clearest he could probably see is if someone just stands close to him, still as possible -- but even then, he'd need to touch their face to get a full understanding

However, given his hands light on fire on his command, and he's extremely warm to the touch, many chose not to trust to that extent

The Rift

Yay!!! I finally have portraits for all my main characters from my epic fantasy story I’m working on! Don’t they all look so cool? (Individual images and descriptions under the cut)

Ling: An Autistic Prince with third degree burns who’s presumed death started a war.

Tseren: A war criminal with a troubled past who killed a hundred men in a single night

Serpent: A heartless bounty-hunter driven by necessity whose prey never escapes him.

Maya: A blind orphan child who can see the red strings of fate that make up people’s hearts.

Kira: The eldest daughter of a broken noble family, trying to hold the pieces together.

Aliseu: The secret daughter of a noble house who buried the bodies of every villager in her hometown after it was ravaged by an angry spirit.

I’ve been working on this story for… dang, almost eight years now. It’s really come a long way, but it’s still far from finished. It will probably be years yet before I’m ready to write this behemoth of an epic, but I’m proud of the work I’ve done already.

Tanyl and his long cane/white cane! He rarely uses this, since his vocal echolocation works for him well enough, but in wide open spaces or when he’s overwhelmed, he finds the cane easer:)

(His has a ceramic tip to make more sounds so he can echolocate better)

Here's a cleaned up fashion sketch I did for Head Inquisitor Sambra.

I have a bunch of these that I did while trying to nail down an aesthetic and culture for the city of Menzoberranzan. I pulled a lot from Edwardian fashion to make it distinct from the late medieval period that I based most of the surface off of.
