it's a really good book to reread! some books feel stale by the second read but i read this one like seven times in the first year i knew about it, and i was still getting new things out of it for at least the first five. and even after that point you get reminded of things you forgot, or it becomes homely, or maybe outside influences can bring you new perspectives, and so on
Yeah it felt like a comfort thing even on the first read so I’m excited to like make it a comfort thing for real. plus there’s a lot to interpret with things being left vague or some characters knowing more than others so free real estate really

hate to intrude with my minimal knowledge of dnd but a humble bystander’s suggestion: musical chairs
every time something goes horribly wrong everyone swaps characters / roles
…………you’re SO right
BLUE AND GANSEY BLUE AND GANSEY BLUE AND GANSEY -
oh? 👀
Before that before that, I was submerged underwater, mychest heaving and trying to relearn how to breathe. A kraken swam in front ofme, the tentacles of her lower body making up the scenery of all the ocean Icould see, and her torso the size of two ships. She had razor sharp teeth, andher eyes were red. I’d quip, but I don’t know how to get around the fact thatnothing has ever scared me more than her. You see, this was my worst memory. One of my curses gave me nightmares of the worst thing I remembered. And seeingas I had no memory, this was the only thing I knew of my life before I woke upin a ditch. Which made the curse even more cruel. Before the trip to the Lethewith Amelle, I comforted myself when I awoke screaming with the thought thatmaybe, just maybe, it wasn’t real.
(send me 👀 for part of a wip of mine from this year)

anon, trying to justify using gay as an umbrella term with someone who’s uncomfortable with it: um excuse me you can’t use queer as an umbrella term. some people are uncomfortable with it
i hadn’t even thought about it in that context but you’re absolutely right and it honestly is a perfect picture of how unfair the arguments surrounding this are
