Feeling a presence once could very well be disregarded as a coincidence. Twice, paranoia. But the third time it would be foolish to not pay extra good attention to one’s surroundings, lest someone was following along. Alas, the sunglasses had to be the worst disguise Tsukasa had ever beheld, for his old leader’s bright orange hair revealed his identity the moment the young Knight laid his eyes on the figure.
“ Leader! ”
A nickname of yore was called out as he stomped closer and ripped the facade straight off the older male’s face, brows knit into displease. It wasn’t that he disliked the other male, no, far from. He just never knew how to handle his antics.
“ No, Leo-san is what you would be now, would it not. May I inquire what this intrusion upon my privacy is all about? And don’t try to shrug it off as a coincidence, I will not accept such a foolish answer. ”
She had escaped from her bed chambers again, even though she was supposed to be grounded...
Princess Ruby may be the future queen of the kingdom, but she is still only an adolescent girl. And like any other child her age, she is bound to go through a rebellious phase. But even so, nobody would have thought that the crowned princess would turn out to be such a rambunctious woman despite her sheltered upbringing.
She was a magnet for trouble, always on the lookout on doing the wildest and even the most dangerous shenanigans, like playing around with the weapons in the armory, or going deep into the woods to hunt for games. Thankfully, nothing bad has happened to her so far....
Because of this behavior, her parents had to put a tight leash on her, but the princess was clever, and is as stubborn as a mule. She will always manage to slip right through their fingers anytime.
After successfully breaking out of the castle, the silver-eyed girl makes her way into the village plaza. They’re having a festival today, and Ruby has been dying to go see it. but was not allowed to as punishment from her father, the king.
To avoid getting attention, Ruby hid her visage covered under a red hood, wearing the simplest clothes she has. She looks like any other average commoner! Now she can enjoy the festival to her hearts content~
“Let’s see....What should I do first? Food? Games? Join the dance?~” She’s already giggling in excitement.
“OOOOOOniiiiiichaaaaan!!!~” It was like back at last year’s Halloween all over again...
Ruby clinging to her big brother figure. Whining. Getting dragged across the floor. Refusing to let go until the older male gives her exactly what she wants like the spoiled brat she is.
And that...is to let her see him wearing the cat ears. Like he had promised
“C’mon, just this once and I’ll never let you do it again! And maybe even a picture...or two?”
Usually she only acts like this when it’s just her and the model around, but after getting to know to rest of Izumi’s fellow unit members, she has become less and less shameful of her childish behavior around the presence of others.
“I’m sure the others would also love to see how cute you would look~”
It all started when her TV suddenly turned on by itself one fateful night. She was in the middle of doing late night studying when it happened. At first she thought that she might’ve stepped on the remote again, but the controller was no where near her.
She checked if it’s the TV itself that’s broken, the young girl was certainly not expecting to discover some portal when her hand went right through the screen. A normal person would have freaked out at such a discovery but Ruby found it intriguing. Feeling adventurous, she decided to stick her head in. Inside she found an obscure place. It was like another realm. It looked to be a studio but it was foggy, there was also body prints all over the floor. IS this even indoors or outdoors?
Since then, the silver-eyed girl would study about this mysterious world every night. She even went as far as to jump right in and explore the world on the other side. It was really huge in there she could get lost if she’s not careful.
She also found out that there were hostile creatures wandering around there, she learned that the hard way.
Ruby was just mindlessly walking around this mysterious world as always when those monsters surrounded her. They even possessed magical powers. Even a girl who’s adept in martial arts like her is no match against them.
Just when she thought she was about to die,she heard a voice. An unfamiliar yet soothing voice...
Thou art I, and I am thou...
After that, she finds herself wearing a...blindfold? A see thru blindfold. The hell?! The girl tries to take it off, but for some reason she couldn’t, its like its was glued to her face. But her gut seems to tell her that she needed to get this thing off like her life depended on it. The more she pulled, the more pain she felt, she can even feel blood oozing already.
The moment she finally ripped it off of her skin, she blew a gust of power, that blasted the monsters at bay. Her school uniform transformed into a different set of clothes, and above her a charming blonde girl hovers. She looked kinda familiar though, almost like a fairy tale character.
Fairy tale...
“Alice...”She uttered. For some reason Ruby knows that it’s the name of the mystical girl...and she is here to help her.
Alice easy took out wave after wave of those monsters with her blasts of magic, and Ruby herself was able to pick up a good fight too. Some her movements were faster, her punches were stronger, and her body was more enduring to pain.
Once that whole fiasco was done and over with. The silver eyed girl faints from exhaustion the moment she returned to the real world.
The next day, she woke up back in her school uniform, and she became too scared to get back on the TV world since, but it turns out she can’t bring herself to stay away from it for too long. Especially when the TV turned on like usual. But instead of showing nothing but static like how it was supposed to be on the screen, it actually showed an image for once!
It was a person. The image was still a bit blurry, but Ruby was able to tell that the figure was male. Average height. Fair complexion. Orange hair. This was definitely something new...Could some else have been wandering in there besides her? In that case they need to be warned! What if he gets killed by those monsters?! She has to do something!
Not gonna lie, but having to face those monsters again, made her swallow down a lump on her throat. Maybe that blonde girl will appear again when she needed her? She really hopes so...
Ruby made sure to bring along some weapons just in case. Thankfully she’s the daughter of a policeman, with the trust of her father, she was given the permission to possess a BB rifle gun. She also brought along the old mowing scythe in their gardening shed, and some first aid materials....Hey, it never hurts to be prepared.
Taking a deep breath. She enters back into the TV world.
What became clear to Shu after he’d entered his studio space and was almost knocked flat on his back by the sudden body throwing itself at him was that he needed a better lock for the room. Or to start looking for a place of his own that wasn’t on school grounds.
“Tsukinaga release me.”
How did Leo even get into his locked space all the time? Was the composer some kind of master lock-pick or something???
“ like it obviously doesn’t kill a man bc I ate some a week or two ago or something “
“Hum, alright then have as many as you want i guess, let’s just hope it isn’t some kind of delayed reaction type of thing. Don’t blame me if you pass out or something.” Mio gave a shrug as she watched the guy eat the strange food. “Seriously though i have no idea how that got into my pantry, but hey if you’ll eat it’s one less thing i have to throw out.”
