The gifting cycle is important in building right relationships with the beings around you. Any gift given will be met with some gift in return, but the higher quality the gift given, the more likely you are to receive a higher quality gift in return.
So what is "high quality"? In capitalist cultures it's easy to equate high quality with high price tag. That's not what we're talking about here. High quality gifts means ones chosen and/or made with great care and intention with an understanding of what the receiver really needs or wants. Show that you understand the person and are able to provide the best that you can. (There may be more objectively higher quality items or people most qualified to do certain tasks, but you don't have to give "the best." You just need to give the best *that you are able*, whatever that may look like for you.) The effort and attention to detail will not go unnoticed. Doing your best for others means doing the best for yourself by showing yourself what you're capable of and just how much that can mean to others. Whether you are putting out such a gift or a meaningful gift is being given to you, appreciate the relationship that's building.
