Of course actors are different from the characters they play, even when they play a character similar to themselves. I view pairs and series distinctly, also. I can love a couple in a show and dislike the show, or I can love a show and dislike its couple. Or a show is so good I end up loving the couple, or a couple is so sweet and memorable it makes me love the show. And that goes for both the actor pairs and the character couples they play. I contain multitudes, I guess. 😅

Anyway, I'm gonna ramble a little below the cut. This should be fun! All opinions are my own, but are just opinions! No hate to your faves, if they differ from mine.

Switching up the order so I can play around a bit... 😏

LEVEL ONE - i don't know her sorry

KristSingto - pass. Have seen 0 of their series.

PerthSanta - pass. I've only watched through my dash, and don't feel qualified to comment.

BounPrem - pass. I dropped Revamp and I hated UWMA so I have not seen Between Us and I'm not likely to.

JossGawin - hard pass.

LEVEL TWO - really only one option

OffGun - Not Me. I have seen The Trainee, but I like SeanWhite a lot more than JaneRyan.

PondPhuwin - Never Let Me Go. A series I feel 'meh' at best about... but it's the only one of theirs I've seen. I have heard they were good in We Are and Me and Thee, but I'm not curious enough to find out. They just aren't for me, and that's fine!

WilliamEst - ThamePo!! Adore them. So excited for You Maniac.

JuniorMark - My Romance Scammer. Easily. They were cute in Cherry Magic Thailand too, but oh my god this series is theirs and they are leaving no crumbs.

EarthMix - Moonlight Chicken. Liiiiiisten this one is hard! ATOTS is so good and they are so good in it, and I'm really having fun watching them in OFDO. But I have to give it to JimWen, they deserve it.

LEVEL THREE - ¿por que no las dos?

JoongDunk - Hidden Agenda/The Heart Killers. So for raw chemistry and sweetness, this one goes to Hidden Agenda... but FadelStyle are so memorable, you know?? I don't want to choose.

ForceBook - Peaceful Property/Only Friends. So it's Peaceful Property hands down, PhoomVicha my beloveds. TopMew are a mess and so toxic and I don't really believe their happy ending... but I gotta admit Force and Book put their whole asses into these hateable characters and portrayed them so well. They were fun to watch be a mess! So, for the acting, both.

JimmySea - My Magic Prophecy/Vice Versa. Don't make me chooooooose!! I love them!!!

TayNew - Peaceful Property/Cherry Magic Thailand. Home and Peach! But, but Karan and Achi!! But Home, and Peach, and Karan, and Achi!!!

GeminiFourth - My School President/Moonlight Chicken. They are all my babies, and I will not be taking questions at this time.

FirstKhaotung - Only Friends/The Eclipse. I love SandRay, and I loved watching them play these lovely broken messes. But you never forget your first (haaaa) right? So AkkAyan go here too. 😊

LEVEL FOUR - what? why???? this is inhumane!!

AouBoom - ahhhhhhhhhh JengPok! But then DechMek!! But oh my god, RomeRaffy?! And their toxic forefathers, KlaoWarit? And I only watched We Are through my dash, but TanFang??? Nope, I pick all of them! I SAID I PICK ALL OF THEM. *runs away*

LEVEL FIVE - wait what that was everyone why is there more

MilkLove - Bad Buddy. THERE WILL BE MORE SERIES FOR ALL MY LADIES EVENTUALLY, AND SO WHEN WE GET TO PLAY THAT VERSION I'M AHEAD OF THE CROWD TO SAY INKPA. (And I'm right. 😊)

I’m hoping the discourse I saw around Gemini’s recent dancing clip, calling it homophobic, isn’t actually discourse but just one person being ignorant.

But it does offer a prime time to introduce everyone to the Thai phrase I discovered that’s applied repeatedly on Tiktok to Gemini and several other BL actors (tho that’s def partly due to my algorithm) and importantly to me, Ciize, as well lol. ถูกเลี้ยงโดยกะเทย translates to “raised by kathoey.” The vids that come up depict what queer English speakers would call camping, and Gemini’s been doing this kind of stuff since he started in the business (and seemingly before that based on these childhood pics 🤣).

On top of that he’s been embraced and welcomed in by the many kathoey staff he works with. See Godji teaching him a classic ‘toey joke/song reference here or Tong, his main makeup artist talking about teaching him and Fourth loo slang here. How about Rin, the L’Oréal promoter crying for him and the team at the Paris fashion show? A few queer people caring is just anecdotal evidence, but we don’t have ANY evidence that he has any kind of bad reputation among the queer community he interacts with.

It’s not surprising for a queer man to criticize effeminate behavior and label it as mockery or a stereotype. I personally think it’s one of the most pernicious issues among queer men, stemming from the desire to preserve their own “masculinity”and retain the privilege and status that comes with that association. But internalized homophobia/misogyny is not cute and a lot of queer men are effeminate, exaggerated, and silly. I’m not saying Gem’s queer, but whether he is or not, there’s no reason for us to condemn him for performing a dance in an over-the-top way without any target for a joke or evidence others have issues with his behavior. Let a gurl swish now and then 💅🏼

Idk about others, but when the Priest told Barth that there was so much anger in his heart, and that finding himself through the Church and being subservient to his (the Priest's) god would be the (only) way he could get that anger out, did not sit well with me.

Especially when the Priest decided to throw the scholarship in his face immediately afterward. Just did not sit well with me.

But, I am against organized religion, so maybe there is too much anger in my heart, too 🤔

And I'm a Sub™️ but not to the Christian God, that's for sure xD
