Menstruflux

[Etymology : menstru- from menstruation (referring to a monthly cycle of bleeding) and -flux meaning a fluctuating and fluid identity]

A gender for one who has a gender that fluctuates based on if they are menstruating / on their period or not.

Ex: typically being a boy, but when menstruating, being a girl. Typically being a girl, but when menstruating, being nonbinary. Etc.

This may be due to dysphoria that becomes present only during menstruation, euphoria that becomes present only during menstruation, mood swing influence during menstruation, or any other factor that may be influential to one's gender.

Never thought I'd be someone to coin a new term but has anyone ever considered the idea of "gender resonance"?

Resonance meaning when you experience something (or more likely someone) and they just evoke images, memories, emotions, or senses that just feels right for you.

Like, I look at a person fictional or otherwise and I'm like "whoa, i love their gender." But its not really their gender, right? Its moreso their self-expression whether that be their actual appearence or personality or whatever. Their energy, or vibes perhaps. Whatever it is drawing me to them resonates with me. It's my gender.

It makes sense to me because I can have this gender resonance with multiple people and it doesn't necessarily lessen or negate my previous resonance I experienced, just added a new layer. Or it could wipe the slate totally clean. I don't make the rules, my brain does.

This particularly makes sense to me as I constantly feel uncomfortable with current gender labels that exist like nonbinary or genderfluid or even agender, but based on descriptions alone those would be as close as I could get to current day labels.

The idea of gender resonance could also apply to people who are confused or questioning whether they are trans at all, meaning cis people should be welcome to use it. Such as the term gender nonconforming.

Idk it makes sense to me.

Slight Rant:

Had someone tell me that they don't think I'm as trans as I think I am because I like girly stuff. Apparently since I like shiny stuff, jewelry, painting my nails, and occasionally feminine clothes, I must not be actually trans and am probably just a tomboy. They were like "you know, it's okay if you decide that being a guy isn't for you and you no longer want to go through with transitioning. I know you fought hard to get hormones and changing your name and changing your gender marker on your ID and stuff but if you've changed your mind it's not too late" and they also said "if you wear that (referring to a cute afab lingerie I was admiring because I liked the color and texture) I'm definitely not calling you good boy during sex, you'll be good girl" and they also kept telling me to "just think about it, think about your identity and stuff some. Maybe talk with your therapist next time about it" and they. Kept. Mentioning. This. Topic. For. The. Whole. Two. Days. I. Was. Spending. With. Them.

They of course, were my bf at the time. We broke up just a few days ago. Not because of this though but because he was jealous about my other boyfriend despite being the one who wanted us to be in an open relationship in the beginning.

Anyhow, I think I'm mostly just upset about the transphobic stuff more than the breakup. Just needed to rant about it for a sec.

Anyone who wants to reblog with some famous people or anyone- selfies too are acceptable too- really who is cis male or trans male but dresses "fem" or anything stereotypically "girly", I'd appreciate it for gender ego boost or solidarity or whatever.
