Technically it didn't really pass thru the legislature, actually,
Tell the US goverment you OPPOSE "biological sex at birth" on passports!

Help me change my name and gender marker! 🏳️⚧️✨
First thing's first: I want to mention that this isn't an *emergency* and I don't want anyone to feel pressured to give anything. That said, I would be extremely grateful if you could reblog this post regardless.
I'm finally in the process of having my name and gender marker changed (it's easier to do both at the same time here in Ontario) and I was hoping to get approved for funding for the costs, but I wasn't. Money is a bit tight right now so I'd really appreciate any help I can get.
The costs, which you can verify at ontario.ca and canada.ca:
Name change: $137 CAD New birth certificate: $25 CAD New birth registration: $35 CAD New passport: $160 CAD Total: $357 CAD
Thankfully there's no fee to change the gender marker itself, but it can't be done without paying the fees for a new birth certificate and registration.
paypal (ignore the name lol)
💜 Thank you!! 💜
Heya trans folks and alllies
I'm planning on changing my gender marker (hoping I'll be in time before they'll possibly reverse the law here 🫠(not US American))
And I'm not passing so I'm leaning towards no gender marker which would result in an x instead of m/f or "diverse" on the passport
But I've been wondering a lot what impact that would have on travelling (not planning on going to the US now 🫠)
Can y'all share your experiences with me or what you've heard from friends?
Any problems /extra scrutiny etc?
Atm it's mostly about travelling around in Europe but I'd like to know about other places as well, such as South America, Southeast Asia, Oceania
Also UK cause unfortunately that's important to me...
Also changing the gender marker is the only way I can change my name here, that's why I wanna do it.
Twenty years ago most people didn't really know who we were.
Right now I'm kind of missing that actually.
Haven't been updating the website much lately. Click here if you would like to see what I did update today. I have a list of things that I could do regarding upgrades to pages, but I haven't been feeling super motivated to do it.
Honestly, I do not have the free time to be going on my computer very much these days, and I do not have the time to be researching and updating my website.
If I was making money off of this, I'd probably be more inclined to spend more time doing this. I have spent several years working on this project, and at this point have spent more money keeping it up than actually making any money. I think.
Either way, the margins are tiny and the amount that I am making is not really worth my time. I will continue to keep the website up and maintain it, but I am overall very unmotivated (also I have a lot of things that I have to do these days).
