My gender identity is pretty irrelevant to the conversation (I don't think an average Russian middle aged woman could comprehend it without like a five hour lecture), but women's changing rooms HATE to see me coming. I've faced so much hate and aggression in them because I don't "pass" as a woman. And like I'd love to use men's changing rooms but guess what I'd face the same shit in them and at least in women's changing rooms I can point to like my legal gender or my anatomy to protect myself (which doesn't always work because PEOPLE SOMETIMES JUST DECIDE THAT I'M A TRANS WOMAN, WHICH I AM NOT, AND TREAT ME ACCORDINGLY (LIKE SHIT) but it's better than nothing)
Can we like get changing rooms with just. Individual cubicles. That aren't divided by gender. Literally everyone would be more comfortable.
This is transgynephobia and intergynephobia (even if you aren't transfem or intersex, people are treating you the way they'd treat women under those categories.)
Transvestigation and intervestigation has caused so much harassment to even pericis people. Its ridiculous. There's nothing positive that comes from gender separatism.
