Definition: Gendersylph, also called Genderfaon, Genderfeor, or Genderfen, is a label used by those who's gender is fluid between any number of xenogenders and uncommon nonbinary genders. It is a part of the Genderfluid umbrella. It is also a part of the Nonbinary, Genderqueer, and Transgender umbrellas though not everyone who uses this label considers themself to be any or all of these as well.

xenokenofluid | gendergloam

xenokenofluid: being fluid between xenogender and kenochoric

gendergloam: a form of genderfluidity in which one is exclusively fluid between xenogenders and kenochoric genders (kenochords)

for anon! xenokenofluid is just a combo of ‘xeno’, ‘keno’, and ‘fluid’ and puts colors from the xenogender and kenochoric flags into the genderfluid format, while gendergloam, since it’s less specific, is named and designed like a genderfluid fragment system term. ‘gloam’ refers to twilight, which i felt fit with both gendertene/genderstyg in name and gendersylph/genderfaon in like... vibes? the flag is based on the second genderfaon flag listed at the bottom of that page and the gendertene flag.

I recolored/redesigned the gendersylph flag!

The original colors aren’t very cohesive, and don’t match any of the other specific genderfluid identity flags. For those who don’t know, Gendersylph is a genderfluid label, specifically being fluid between xenogenders and other uncommon genders.

The colors are meant to reflect any/all gender natures or presentations. They may align with typical gendered associations (pink for feminine, yellow for nonbinary, etc.), with xenine associations (orange for vulpine, green for green-in-nature, etc.), and/or with other non-standard associations (cultural color-gender associations, anti-binary association, etc.)

Ultimately, colors can mean anything to any particular person! I felt this highly customizable and open-ended nature fits the xenogenders and uncommon genders of the label.

Gendersylph Symbol

Gendersylph, also known as Genderfaon, Genderfeor, or Genderfen is a form of genderfluidity in which someone is fluid exclusively (or nearly exclusively) between xenogenders or otherwise uncommon identities. Someone who is gendersylph would never (or very rarely) identify as a gender within the binary. They almost always identify as something non-binary. This identity can change at random and can also fluctuate in intensity. This identity is similar to genderflor but is specifically for xenogenders/uncommon genders.

Why "genderfeor" and not:

Genderfaon?

It's incredibly similar to genderfaun, and as a dyslexic I already struggle with the -en/-et additional endings of the genderf_ group, so a whole label that can barely be distinguished from another is simply inaccessible.

Genderfen?

Fens are a real thing and this label is better used for the gender relating to them instead of randomly assigned to this one because it's a short word beginning with F.

Gendersylph?

The original term was coined as a joke by a transphobe, and understandably myself and others aren't comfortable identifying with such a term.

These are my personal reasons why I coined genderfeor. I realise I should have explained this on my coining post, but it was my first time coining anything and honestly I thought it would flop. Better late than never? Watch in another year as I realise I've forgotten to mention something else and make another post about this lol

Rebel is trying a few different names and pronouns, and I hope I can help shir out. Shay uses several labels to describe shirself. Xoi is trans, nonbinary, genderfaon, fogfluid, cassgender, and siderealian. I’m glad Rebel has found labels that fit xoir. Cy likes lots of different aesthetics. Cyr favorite ones include punkcore, goblincore, and crowcore. Voi also likes cryptidcore and trendercore.

Python has a cool name. I wonder how shay chose it. Maybe xoi likes snakes. Python is a nonbinary trans person, and cy also has lots of other labels too. Voi also enjoys cryptids and cryptidcore. Cryptids are really cool and I bet I could listen to vil talk about vois favorite ones for a long time. I hope Python has a good day.

Mori has a nice name. I wonder if shirs name is related to anime or fashion. I would be interested to hear xoir talk about how xoi chose xoirs name. More is nonbinary and trans as well as genderfaon and fogfluid. Cyr other labels are cassgender and siderealian. I would love to listen to cyp tell me all about cyr labels! Mori is also into cryptids. I wonder what vois favorite cryptid is. Maybe voi has too many to pick a favorite. I hope this helped Mori!
