There aren't very many things on here that I deliberately keep from you guys, but there are things that just don't come up. One of these things may have been that my brother is actually adopted from Taiwan. Something you probably don't know about me, however, is that I'm fascinated with genealogy (did you know direct descendants of Cleopatra can be traced all the way up to the fifth century?). Oh yeah, super into it. So dear old warlord Ghengis Kahn was actually extremely religiously tolerant. He talked to leaders of pretty much any religion he could, even though he was a Tengrist. Pretty awesome, huh? And instead of forcing his new territories to conform to him, he actually embraced their cultures and diversity. But that's off topic, sorry. So apparently, Ghengis was a superstud. He had five Mongolian wives. All at once. And a whole bunch of other wives, too, but I can't find an estimate. And plenty of mistresses and "comfort women", too, I'm sure (both willing and unwilling). This guy banged everybody with two legs and a vagina. He literally screwed (and killed) his way across Asia. So what are you chances of being a direct descendant of our friend Ghengis here? Well, if you're biologically male, the chances are one in two hundred. That's right. Out of approximately 3600000000 biological males in the world, one in every 200 of those is a direct descendant of Ghengis Kahn. Now back to my brother. Since Joe is full-blooded Taiwanese, the chances of him being related to Ghengis are higher than just one in two hundred. Directly descended from, that is. The likelihood that he's related to him in some other way? Damn, I don't even know. Really freaking high, if I had to guess. So yeah. My little brother has a pretty decent chance of being related to Ghengis Kahn. Now you know.
