I'm intrigued...
How would you describe your parenting/parent technique? Would you say you have a particular way? Was it a conscious decision to be that type of parent? Was there a reason?
I think I'd describe myself as a gentle parent or using attachment parenting (so I'm not permissive but not authoritarian). I think i didn't think too hard about it went with what felt most natural. As A has grown older I've researched and learnt more about being a Gentle Parent (I'm currently reading a book called 'The Gentle Discipline Book' by Sarah Ockwell-Smith)
The Purge
I'm going through the boys' toys today. Purging broken things, electronic things, and things hardly played with.
I expect for lots of tears, but am prepared to meet them with love and empathy.
These toys have to go though.
We Bedshare:
Usually it's me, Baby A, and L in my huge Cali King bed. My husband and B sleep together in a separate room. I know, this sounds odd probably, but there are a lot of reasons why we choose to sleep this way.
Tonight was a little bit different. Prior to Baby A's birth, B used to sleep with me and L. (He was still breastfeeding) After a few months I decided I needed to wean B (also for many reasons) and to do that I had him sleeping with hubs to make night weaning easier for all of us.
Now that it's been a couple months where B has been completely weaned and no longer asks for boob, lately when bedtime rolls around he asks to come back in my purple bed to sleep with us.
So tonight he rejoined us in bed. Fell asleep in 3 minutes... maybe less. I think he missed us 😊😂
B woke up
With all the emotions this morning.
We're doing a lot of sitting on the ground, me rubbing his back. I have yet to find out what the problem is.
Though, I think it's just feelings.
I know he's chilly, but to remain in control, he is refusing clothes. That's okay.
We will ride this wave of emotion together.

Embrace the crazy 😂🤟🏻
