Not everything nor everyone can be addressed with a firm grip

Sometimes to take a gentle approach is best

Different are the sensibilities of each individual

Others can be course and do just fine in this world

While still other's are only looking for a calm hand to help pick them up and lead them along

To slip your hand in mine would be a mixture of both worlds

Tough to the touch due to being weathered by life's storms

Yet still soft enough and smooth enough to hold the hand of another seeking help in this lifetime

Lend tour hand in all of its ways...

There are times to apply a firm grip just as there are times to hold one gently

Just as the individual is different so are the situations

Be versatile when you are truly willing to reach out to another looking for a hand
