overthinking again
I felt sick to my stomach today because when I looked out of the window of a moving car I noticed that the sky/clouds looked like they weren't moving like a flat image and that just fucked me up for some reason.
I feel uncomfortable just typing this. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? It's not the first time this has happened either
So, the new Lucem Ferto video just dropped, and it seems to be about the Disks.
As of right now I am yet to watch it, but I will take this opportunity to document my current thoughts on the Disks, so I can see how will they change (if they change) after this vid.
My general stance on the Disks, perhaps surprisingly to some of you, is that I kinda like them. They provide an interesting conflict, both in terms of themes and actual conflict that happens in the story. Imo they are not overused to the point of being repetitive, I would call it continuity instead. Must be noted though, that if they are ever a major plot point again this will change drastically and also that I am not a consistent tommy viewer myself, I observe his story from outside. (Doomsday and Fnnal Disk confrontation are the only 2 his streams I watched in full)
Tommy carrying about the Disks as much as he does is not bad writing imo. But it is a character flaw. Imo, Tommy beginning to value tokens of relationships more than actual relationships, but stopping this spiral and overcoming (kinda) this flaw is a major theme in his story during season 2 (one of two). And I like it.
Also wanna add that I believe that Tubbo internalizing Tommy’s “Disks are worth more than you ever were!” line is among major reasons for his disregard of his own life.
