Deltarune Ocs: Gideon and Iverson
Also I looked through the "the magnus archives" tag on your profile and I see quite a bit of JonGerry art... I love them, they are my favorite ship!
OGH Hi. Yeah jongerry is my favorite Tma ship. I just think they're neat.
Anyway! Kori, my darling. My friends and I did a Magnus Archives themed D&D campaign, which I designed Kori for.
Long ass post incoming
Their whole thing is that
Kori was a fairly social student back in university. They spent a lot of their time on campus exploring, relaxing, studying, you name it. It was a lot better than being at home with parents who couldn't care less about them. They'd chat with passing students, even joining a few clubs out of boredom.
Through one of these clubs, she met her ex-partner, Colin Newman. Colin is (...was?) a sweet guy. Tall, energetic, earnest. A real golden retriever. He wasn't the most dedicated student, but he loved to listen to Kori go on indepth on topics he'd never heard of. He and Kori bonded over their love of horror films. He also had a very close friend group, whom he introduced Kori to a year into their relationship.
None of them were bad people, to be clear. They were teasing at times, sure, but never cruel. They'd welcomed Kori into the group with open arms. One of the members, Dean, was just as fascinated with horror as Colin and Kori were. The trio would drag the others to horror themed events and organize sleepovers where they watched creepy movies together, even scaring some of the less enthusiastic members. (Halloween was always fun :])
One day, Dean and the others decided to play a small prank on Kori. With Colin's help, each day, they snuck into Kori's dorm and scattered ominous notes, written in crayon, across various places for them to find. Every note said some classically creepy quote or phrase. The notes would then urge her to check a specific location in his house, to which they'd find a doll.
The dolls were handmade, modeled after each of their friends. At first, Kori was startled but found the prank pretty funny!! The attention to detail was impressive, honestly. The prank lasted a week, the last doll being modeled after Colin. They gave the others back their respective look-alikes but kept Colin's doll on their shelf.
After the prank was over, though, Kori kept finding notes. At first she accused her friends of planting them, but they all swore they hadn't. Each note described a different part of her life, written in crayon, in unfamiliar handwriting. As the notes grew increasingly more detailed and private, Kori began to panic. Maybe someone on their floor was pulling a prank on them?
They decided to move out and into Colin's apartment as the paranoia began to set in. But the notes didn't stop. At some point. Kori began accusing Colin of writing the notes (even if they didn't believe it) because who else could it be? They hadn't told anyone else these things about their life. It drove them apart.
One night, after a particularly intense argument, Colin left their apartment to go stay with a friend. Kori, feeling guilty, returned to their bedroom, only to be met with the sight of Colin's look-alike doll on the nightstand. They hadn't unpacked it yet, so there's no way it could have been there. Alongside it was another doll and a seam ripper. A doll that looked exactly like her. It seemed to be looking at her, no matter where they stood. In front of the dolls was another note.
"People are nothing more than decoration, anyway."
As they read, then came the sound of ripping threads. When they looked up, their doll was standing, staring at them, holding the seam ripper. Beside it, lay the head of Colin's doll, shredded and torn apart, cotton sticking out from all angles.
They screamed, obviously.
In a moment of clarity, though, they snatched the seam ripper from the other doll, and began tearing it apart. It went on for what felt like hours before they felt it's gaze finally turn away from them. They shook as they ran out of the apartment, immediately calling Colin. He wouldn't pick up. No matter how many times she called, he wouldn't pick up. No one had seen him, and a quick call to his friend confirmed he'd never shown up.
He was declared missing three days later.
Anyway! After that, Kori moved out and now avoids dolls. Kori has been single since. It's been 5 years. The other friends' dolls were confirmed missing. They haven't talked since.
If it isn't obvious, they had a stranger encounter! It haunts them enough that he has a phobia of dolls and adjacent things, now.
Other notes are that Kori is a content creator (Video Essays)! What The Ghost and Ghost Hunt UK are two of their biggest inspirations! They use the Mangus institue resources whenever she feels like looking into the supernatural for real, even though his content focuses entirely on fake stories and their history. Mostly classic internet stuff like SCPs and Creepypasta. She's fairly book smart but has a lot of himbo/dumbass energy when just chilling with friends or in public.
