OPEN || ABIERTA This friends is the truth. I can't be reminded of it enough. In having taken this giant leap of faith to move & let go of what no longer serves me I can easily try to build walls, ignore my feelings & 'push through' especially when someone shares their fears over my choice for my life. It's a human instinct. Protect the heart, close down & don't let the pain in. BUT it's the pain that NEEDS to flow through in order for me to keep living fully present. It's my heart that must remain OPEN when I want to close. It's the yes, pain I hear you, see you & feel you. I acknowledge you, I thank you & I let you go. How this looks for each of us in different moments will be different but the truth remains the same: relax, open your heart & feel it to heal it. INSPIRATION || INSPIRACIÓN Thanks to jetlag getting me into energy mode in the afternoon hombre bueno & I discovered the new #designmuseum much to our delight. The music nerd in me was overjoyed to see my old school Sony Walkman on display along with a mix tape! Ugh those of you who missed out on the era of mix tapes I can only say you really did miss some magic. Thinking about how you wanted to surprise your friend or love with a song that not only expresses something you feel but also offers a beautiful transition. To take the person on a musical journey that can say so much! See, my nerd is coming out! It gives me the sensation to run home now & make a mix playlist just to see how I'd do it now. It's incredible how something so small can inspire so much. You never know when it's going to hit you.
