POV papa has to step in on guitar
No I will not shut up about this! Not now! Not ever!
I have seen people everwhere saying he messed up the lyrics, and I was not confident enough in my knowledge of them to comment. But then I pulled up the lyrics on Spotify and played them in time to the video. Yes he fumbled a few words, but it didn't affect the performance, the timing was damn near perfect! Can you blame him for being nervous? Performing in front of music royalty rock band Queen and actual royalty. He didn't really get anything wrong (not like people are going on about), it's a cover, not a perfect imitation (which is not possible). I grew up with Queen and discovered my love of music though Ghost, this performance is very special to me!
Our newest Cover is live (instagram will follow soon!) THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN AGAIN! (For now the team rests, but rest assured, a new project will follow)
Helvetesfonster on flute!
The original isn’t actually played on a real flute, so it makes it almost IMPOSSIBLE to breathe but I managed! (Barely)
Anyways I hope yall enjoy this small cover I did :)
ok but this song NEEDS to be on streaming services
Links under the cut
You know what I love? That because Ghost does covers that means canonically the Papas love the artist of the song they did a cover of.
Like, I can imagine Terzo in his room, covered in Echo & the bunny men posters (nocturnal me) or Secondo blaring Abba and other uncharacteristically pop-y songs in the car when he's alone (I'm a Marionette, waiting for the night and crucified), Primo who had to hide that god damn Beatles CD with his life because his father had an unexplained beef with Ringo Starr (here comes the sun (he covered it out of spite and it got taken down for that reason)) and Copia's cluster fuck of 'dad rock' + Tina turner which he definitely inherited from his mother (phantom of the Opera, we don't need another hero, hanging around, ect. He's done a lot.)
Like, come on, they wouldn't do a cover of a song they weren't completely in love with. Secondo canonically loves Abba.
I discovered that my keyboard has a Pro Memoria intro setting!! 😱
(it's just slow strings lol)
🔊 Volume warning bc my phone was sitting right next to the speaker when I recorded this oops 🔊
