"We're here!" You stepped out of the black vehicle, the flats of your feet hitting the ground in pure excitement. In front of you stood a building you never thought you'd see yourself in, the HYBE sign was lit up bright but your eyes were focused on the LED lights emitting from one of the rooms.

You closed the door of the car, the wind pushing your hair to the side. You step forward brushing your pants off and taking a deep breath before walking towards what you believed was a dream. The inside of the building was sleek, modern furniture covered the open space. You walked towards the front desk, a kind woman smiled in your direction until you heard his voice.

You whipped your head around, there stood Lee Jihoon of Seventeen. Fuck he said my name. You bowed, extending a hand. "It's so nice to meet you."

He laughed, your words had come out garbled sounding a little more like it's okay, nice meeting you.

"Are you nervous?" You still stood in the same spot staring at him, the only reason you started to pursue music was standing right in front of you. His black hair framed his face well, contrasting his pale skin - he looks better in person.

"I-I. Uh. I'm just a big fan." He gave you warm smile, nothing too flashy just something suggesting it was okay to start moving.

"Do you want to follow me?" You nod, shooting the woman behind you a smile and quick bow. You follow the man towards the elevator, your eyes follow his figure. His confident steps put you at ease but also terrify you, all of your accolades seeming miniscule. "I heard your most recent song for As You Stood By, great work."

"Oh, thank you." He gestured for you to walk into the elevator, you stepped into the small space with him. You couldn't help but watch him scroll on his phone through the reflection on the elevator door.

"So how big of a fan?" Your eyes widened and face flushed red, in your weak attempt to explain his chuckle cuts you off. "I'm just teasing you, I watched your interview with KQ Korea the other day."

"Oh my god." You let your palm slide down your face in despair, the whole interview you spent explaining why you started music, who inspired you and who you idolized. Never did you think you would be put in a situation such as now. "That's actually embarrassing." The elevator door opened.

"Don't worry, I find it endearing." You followed behind him as you walked towards his studio silently cursing at yourself. "So, what is your favorite song?"

"Of Seventeen or of you?" He pulled out his wallet, scanning into the room. He opened the door for you, in which you walked in - embarrassed. You could recognize each part of the studio from his various live streams, where his guitars hung and where he usually sat when working on beats.

"Both?" He gestured for you to sit on the couch so you do.

"I really like I Don't Understand But I love you." He nods, tapping on his mouse to wake up his computer. "But when it comes to your music I really like i don't miss u." He turned his computer so he could see you past the monitor, his face a mixture of deep thought and shock.

"I totally forgot I wrote that." You laughed, pulling out your computer while he returned his to its original state.

"Yeah, it's what inspired a lot of my work."

"How long have you been working in tv and film?"

"About 4 years now!" He let out a low whistle prompting a smile from you. "So I have the lyrics I was thinking here if you would like to take a look at them or change anything." You handed him you laptop, the document visible on the screen along with the pre-debut woozi sticker next to the mouse pad.

You cringed when he looked down, his finger tracing the sticker of him. You watched your idol read the lyrics you had written down, your knee bouncing in anticipation. "Wow, this is really good. Have you ever considered working in the KPOP industry? Or just all music?"

"I thought about it." He returned your computer, when you grabbed it your fingers brushed and you immediately apologized. His face screwed in awkwardness but he brushed it off.

"Are you always like this with your collaborations? You just did some work with BTS." You raised your eyes, he knew a little more about you than you had thought. He could sense your thoughts, "You are aware that you are a big name right?"

"Uh. It hasn't clicked yet."

"For your sake I hope it never does."

You and Mingyu both lay with each other, your head resting on his bicep while you had your back turned. You laughed at the text messages your friends sent through; Mingyu used his open hand to do the same. He laid on his back relishing in the warmth your body provided for his side.

You placed your phone down on the hotel bed and sighed, turning around to look at him. He puts his phone down as well, giving you his undivided attention.

"Thank you." He spoke first, quietly. "For giving me another shot."

"You have a lot of work to do." There was a hint of playfulness in your tone but the both of you knew that he was lucky to even be laying in the same bed as you. The silence stretched between the two of you, your eyes scanning his soft features and tanned skin. "Do you really love me?"

Your question caught him off guard, his words stuck in his throat as he stuttered. "I-I-Yes of course, I always have." He takes a breath, curling his arm to pull you closer. "I just didn't know the difference between platonic love and what we had."

"And what did we have?"

"Honestly." You lay your head down on his chest. "I don't even know, but it was stronger than anything I've ever felt for anyone else. I would find myself constantly thinking about you."

"Why did it take you so long?" His hand comes up to play with your hair, strands falling through his fingers.

"Cause I was stupid." You giggled.

"So stupid." He follows suite, squeezing you in his hold. Your palms placed flat on his chest to push him away, before you could he kisses your forehead.

"I will wait however long it takes to be able to call you mine." You smile.

"Even two years?"

"Even two years."

The front door slammed shut prompting everyone who sat by the register to turn and look in that direction. Han walked in, purpose evident in his step. "Guys-"

"No." You choked on your energy drink, mid-sip after hearing Felix immediately shut down any proposition Han could have.

"You didn't even let me say what I was going to say."

"That was the point." Seungmin was head first in his textbook, yet still managed to snap back at Jisung who sends the mousy boy a glare.

"We have to make a band, do you know how good we would be?"

"We would be horrible Jisung. Come on." He turned to look at you, and sent a small pout before leaning on the counter next to Minho. You sat behind the register, Hyunjin sat to your right scribbling in his journal. Seungmin sat across from the artist while Lee Know and Han were situated on the counter space to your left. The L-shape desk fully occupied by college kids. Felix sat on the floor organizing various papers per Chan's request.

"Hey, not too much loitering." You shooed your boss away when he approached, Changbin following him.

"Please Chan, we're bros. Why wouldn't you make music with me?"

"Cause I'm going to be one of the secret judges." Everyone looked to Chan besides Seungmin who stayed glued to his notes.

"Wait really?" Felix shouted from his spot on the floor; behind you.

"Yep." Chan spun the checkout i-Pad towards him, tapping on the screen while Changbin continued to nag him.

You stood outside the cafe waiting for your friends, the silence stretched while soft winds blew your hair in different directions. In an attempt to escape the entanglement you head inside. You take a look around at the open area, various locals sat together on their computers. Headphones on and sipping from ceramic cups that displayed the coffee shop's logo.

Your eye dart around for anyone you might recognize, while you scan each corner of the cafe your eyes land on another pair. Staring straight back at you in Mingyu, his dark brown eyes trained on your tense figure. You take a moment to collect yourself before walking straight out of the door and in the direction of your hotel.

Mingyu shot up from his seat following you with no hesitation. I can't miss this. You could hear heavy footsteps following you, yet you continued forward ignoring his pleas for you to stop.

"Hey! Please. Let's talk!"

You turned around sending him a warning glare before crossing the street, he looked both left and right before following you. Picking up his pace he ended up right next to you. Hands dramatically asking you to stop while he continued to beg you to talk to him.

You started to grow annoyed with his pestering, pausing. His legs carried him a little ways in front of you, shocked you actually stopped. Mingyu took his chance to stand in front of you.

"I do NOT want to speak with you."

"Please, can we just sit and talk." He gestured towards a bench that sat overlooking the sea.

"No."

"Please. Just yell at me, hit me. Anything." He lowered his head so he could find your avoidant eyes. "Please." You look up at him, tears already gathering. Your throat felt tight as you struggled to even begin.

"I-." His eyes widened and he nodded aggressively, his warm hands finding your arms. He held you stationary while he waited for you to speak.

In a fit of anger you pushed his hands off you and shoved him backwards.

"You. You. I don't even know where to start."

"Anywhere. Anywhere." His voice is soft.

"2 years, 2 fucking years. I spent 2 goddamn years trying to forget about you, honestly." You took a deep breath, running your hands through your hair. "Honestly, longer. I gave you one hell of a chance and what did you do?"

"I-I-I'm sorry."

"You're sorry? Now you're fucking sorry? Mingyu I-." You could feel the tears start to fall, Mingyu's following suite. "You LEFT ME at that FUCKASS restaurant. Alone." Your voice softened on the last word.

"I know, I know. I wish I spent those years loving you."

"Then why didn't you? WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOW UP?" You walked forward pushing him back even more, your hands smacked his chest. He stepped backwards to accommodate your fight. "TWO FUCKING YEARS. EVERY NIGHT I THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED IF YOU SHOWED UP." You laughed, your tears now sat on your chin rolling down your neck. Some even ended up in your mouth the saltiness contrasting your sour mood.

"I-. Please, let me make it up to you."

"You...You're fucking insane." Your hands shook while you grabbed your hair in anger, pulling at anything you fell on your knees finally letting go of all that pent up rage. Your body racked in sobs, knees crushing into the concrete while Mingyu watched you with a mix of pity and sorrow.

Hesitantly he kneeled down, grabbing your hands to ease the harm you were causing yourself. "Please, don't hurt yourself." You looked into his eyes, the early dark brown now soft hazel accompanied by warm tears. He never looked prettier, he never looked gentler. You left yourself relax into him, his body hitting the floor as he pulled you into his chest.

"I loved you."

"Please try again."
