These Things, They Take Time (WIP) Attempts to Update Weekly on Fridays or Saturdays
Rumi is trying. Trying to learn how to be comfortable in her skin. Trying to learn how to lean on her friends. Trying to put all those feelings of worthlessness and self-loathing behind her. But it’s not quite as simple as she’d first hoped.
When you’re born a mistake and told your entire life that your very existence is wrong, how do you turn away from that belief? How do you learn to love the marks that make you so different from the people you love the most?
— or —
Mira and Zoey love their friend, and they see her trying and they want to help. But old habits die hard, and they’ll need to relearn Rumi’s past as well as their own to coax their friend out of the hardened shell she constructed around herself after years of emotional neglect and learned self-hatred.
But if each girl can reach out a hand in their own way maybe they can create a path toward a new light and a new love together.
— or —
The girls decide to go on tour again, face their pasts together, and maybe…just maybe fall in love along the way.
Nothing But the Truth Now (Patterns I’m Ashamed Of) (Complete)
Rumi was trained her entire life to fight demons and keep her treacherous demon marks hidden from her closest friends. After the truth comes out at the idol awards and the dust settles after their battle with Gwi-Ma, Rumi is trying to truly embrace being comfortable in her own skin, but she’s finding it harder than she thought to unlearn all the self-loathing ingrained in her by Celine.
— or —
One night at the bathhouse after the events of the movie, Mira asks the question that’s been burning a hole in the back of her mind for weeks since the revelation about Rumi’s marks: Why didn’t Rumi ever tell them?
— or —
My take on how a conversation between the girls about Rumi’s demon marks might have gone at the bathhouse. Full of angst and hurt/comfort because that’s my jam.
Legends of Tomorrow fics:
Sara has been a lot of things in her life: a rebellious teenager, a castaway survivor, a trained assassin, an ex-assassin, dead, resurrected, and most recently the captain of a time ship. Throughout all of these experiences, Sara learned to forge herself into something that’s damn near unbreakable…or at least that’s what she’d like everyone to believe. But when a new Encore with ties to Sara’s past is unleashed in the future, the facade Sara has carefully crafted begins to crack. With Ava by her side, Sara must face one of the most heinous figures from her past, while discovering along the way that sometimes it’s okay to break.
Anthony Ivo has been resurrected by Astra as an Encore and sent to the future. In order to right the timeline, Sara must face down one of the darkest figures from her past and return him to Hell, but Ava refuses to let her go alone.
It’s just an Echo (of All the Things I Hate About Me) (Complete) -
Sara Lance counts her time in the League of Assassins as one her greatest sins and most plaguing regrets. While there's no doubt her time spent training with the League has given her an edge as a Legend, it's ultimately a part of her past that she would like to keep buried, but when a young girl's plea for help draws Sara, Ava, and several of the Legends back into the League's influence, Sara will have to come to terms with the League of Assassin's role in shaping her life and who she has decided to make herself into without it.
When Sara, Ava, Charlie, and Constantine are called upon to save a young girl from the League of Assassin's influence, Sara must come to terms with what it means to re-enter the League and see just how far she's willing to go to escape it again.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power fic:
What Comes After? (WIP) -
The war is over. Prime stands defeated, Shadow Weaver buried, and the Horde dismantled, but what of the scars and shadows left by these figures and institutions?
As Adora and Catra work together with Glimmer, Bow, and the rest of the Princess Alliance to pick up the broken pieces of the shattered kingdoms across Etheria, they begin to realize that even though the war is over, a long road of redemption and healing still lies ahead of them.
Old wounds fester and rise to the surface as the best friend squad tries to make the most of what comes after the war. Forgiveness isn't easy, healing can sometimes hurt, and finding yourself again after years in the dark can often feel impossible, but at least they have each other to lean on and a (hopefully) brighter future ahead.
