Okay so we all know this little ginger guy at the end of 'Carrying The Banner' in the newsies movie, who doesn't really have a purpose.

But in 'Hard promises' and the Newsies movies script from 1991 (when the movie was being made and released the year later) Spot Conlon is described as being 'a red-headed, freckled gnome'

Now imma need y'all to possibly hear me out (this doesn't have factual evidence I just noticed it and made the correlation) What if the little ginger guy was originally cast as Spot Conlon but in the end casting preferred Gabriel Damon who was ultimately cast but doesn't match this description at all, and due to this complection of Spot being all the way up into the script and Hard Promises, that maybe they changed the actor last minute -perhaps due to scheduling- but decided to give the actor a small cameo.

Ginger Ninja has come in and is wandering around the garden...

Luckily there was no trouble today but Misty won’t tolerate it. Ginger ninja is the bigger cat but my money is on Misty; she is a feisty cat and protective over what is hers. She doesn’t let anyone just pet her from the tales my other gardeners tell me.
