A sort of epilogue for the GingerPilotBay Birthday Round-Robin. Won't make much sense if you haven't read that, I'm afraid - for those of you who did: Poe and Hux come back to visit Treekle, who's all grown-up, some years later.

(Not that Treekle was a minor before. Just saying, in case anyone's worried about the tentacle alien being too young.)

A bit late, but here we go!

For Supernatural Creature: Dead Men Tell No Tales by Gamebird

So, this one is kind of a cheat, but...both Poe and Hux have died and been resurrected (after being dead for months in one case) as part of the plot of this story, so they are technically both zombies or at least reanimated dead.  Also, this is one of the early of the amazing Gamebird’s solo GingerPilot fics.  And the plot is so original and cool.  The characters have a very interesting interaction, and I love how protective they are of each other.  Definitely a fic that needs more reads and kudos!

For Pick a Kink: Future Crimes by glitterstim

So, technically the kink is spanking, but there is a lot more complicated kink going on here.  Poe is after information from Hux, and what Hux is after is a bit of hateful domming (with him as the dom).  But it’s Poe who gets the last laugh (and that’s a lot of why I love it).  A one time only GingerPilot author (alas), but there's a few wicked DarkPilot fics in their canon, too.

For Hurt/Comfort: When We Were by HastaLux

One of the great fics of GingerPilot.  There’s just so much here, packed into a bit under 35k.  But there’s a heaping bunch of hurt/comfort, as Hux loses a leg in the course of the fic and Poe must help him through the suffering that caused.  There’s also their joint hurt over a relationship started when both were young that faltered badly as their lives progressed and diverged.  Hastalux is also a one-story GingerPilot author (though they have a lot of other interesting stories in their canon), but it’s a damn good one.

GingerPilotBay's birthday is coming up soonish, Saturday 22nd of February! This year, we have the good sense to post our little birthday challenge a bit earlier:

It's called "THE ENCORE", and with it, we'd like to encourage you to give as an encore for one of your GingerPilot pieces. By that, we mean: add on a little extra. Write an epilogue, add another chapter, add that smut you faded to black on. Give us another pov, add a little extra drawing. Maybe there's that one piece people commented on that they wanted more of, maybe it's a personal favourite, or maybe it's something you aren't entirely happy with ^^. You can also add to your wip if you like - maybe this is the impetus you needed to write or draw it at last!
