Till has many doubts about his future, doubts that Paul will shake up in his reality. Because the future isn't always written, right?
Here too, we have two versions: the first during his time as a barbarian and the second during his time as a gladiator!

Unlike almost all other gladiator categories (such as the Samnite, the Gaul, or the Thracian), which arose by imitating the soldiers of foreign peoples conquered by Rome, the Retiarius has no military or ethnic origins. He was introduced into the gladiatorial games relatively late, around the 1st century a.d (in the midst of the imperial period). The organizers of the games were seeking a novelty that would break the monotony of the classic symmetrical clashes between heavily armored warriors. They thus decided to create a stark visual and conceptual contrast, introducing a fighter inspired by the allegorical figure of the sea fisherman.
In the first decades of its emergence, the figure of the Retiarius was strongly stigmatized and despised by the traditional Roman mentality. With the consolidation of this discipline, the Retiarius underwent a complete reversal of its reputation, becoming one of the most beloved and idolized classes in the arena.
