Glass Lake
What was once frozen has thawed
Fallen through the ice above by choice not by chance
He threatened me and all that I stood for, keeping me form my goal; an obstacle in my way
Unable to get around, over, under or even through; my thought was to by pass his attack but my brilliance was short lived
Lost as I feel beneath the frozen surface above, the waves still as I watched the bubbles I could see escape me
I needed to get back, failure was not an option; used the Light I had to find my way back
He thought he'd won reaching the finish line, but little did he know I would be there waiting to greet his smiling smug face
His shock was my pleasure, as he'd done to me I returned the favor of stabbing him in the back
His last breath was spent in acknowledging I was the last man standing as he fell to his knees, crashing to the ground covered in dust
Ashes to ashes, he had the mind while I had more; I found my way through the looking glass...
The lake was my way back home
