PE 1141 on Huntington Drive at Warwick Road, San Marino
Late in the afternoon in July 1947, eighteen-year-old photographer Donald Duke captured this shot of a Pacific Electric Railway two-car train of “elevens” speeding inbound towards Los Angeles. It is very likely this train, lead by PE 1141, started out its run at the Glendora Station; the eastern-most end of the Monrovia – Glendora Line.
Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 S Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740
I’ve been to many cemeteries in the area. Oakdale Memorial Park is fairly large but not very peaceful (it’s surrounded by very busy streets). It’s also flat. But the grass is mostly green and kept trimmed and there are plenty of trees (lots of oak trees).
Most of the markers are inground and flat, but the older ones are mostly upright stones. I saw some burials from the early 1900s. There were a few crosses but not elaborate headstones.
There is a chapel, office, and mausoleum. I spotted a groundskeeper and I think security.
Flowers are removed every Wednesday.

Hello there, I'm Adiso! Now, don't let my sweet and mellow demeanor fool you, I'm quite the character. I found my way to the shelter after a hilarious misadventure involving a squirrel, a skateboard, and a bowl of spaghetti. I know, it sounds nuts, but let's just say, I'm brave enough to chase squirrels, curious enough to hop on a skateboard, and goofy enough to land in spaghetti! I'm smart enough to know that won't happen again. I'm also gentle, loyal, and friendly - the perfect companion. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, and entertaining partner in crime, I'm your cat!

I couldn't settle for a movie but decided for a pilot of short lived series (pilot + four episodes) named The Quest from 1982 as well. Cast: Perry King - Dan Underwood Noah Berry Jr. - Arthur Henley Ray Vitte - Cody Johnson Karen Austin - Carrie Welby John Rhys-Davies - Sir Edward and many more
Story: The sovereign state of Glendorra has a problem. It seems that through an old agreement with France, unless there's a monarch, the country would revert to France. And the king has no heirs. So, they found four Americans who are descendants of one of the former rulers. So they are sent out on a "Quest" to show if they have the qualities necessary to be a ruler. It won't be easy cause they go forth with no idea what to do, and their information is given to them through poems which they find hard to transcribe. (from IMDB taken) I'd say Glendora reminded strongly of Monaco, because of this agreement with France mentioned and well, they were in Europe, obviously. Strangely enough, as Dan Underwood, Perry King could fly a helicopter - and of course ride a horse. Too bad I could only find the pilot on Youtube, I'd love to have seen more episodes. Or at least all of them. And as it was, the ladies were falling for Mr. Underwood.
This was Perry King’s contact to Stephen J. Cannell and with that led directly to Riptide two years later - with some facial changes. ;-)
