CIRCUS OF CHAOS

An odd circus comes to the desert sands of Majalon, and while initially it seemed like a harmless little tent of strangers and freaks- the truth uncovered was much more twisted, as the night after his visit to the freakshow Sprout and his friend Mimi were abducted by it's ringmaster to become new acts.

As Sprout tries to find a way for both him and Mimi to escape, he uncovers the horrors of the circus and it's cruelty. Along the way he meets new friends and new lifelong enemies, but he's not on his own- his family and friends are looking for him too! When all comes to ahead, perhaps even the spirit of chaos himself will come out for a snicker at the chaotic mess his favorite show has turned into!

Cornelis de Man does, in fact, have a painting with a mirror that also depicts geographers - sometimes called The Geographers at Work, or Scholars Gathered around a Globe (c.1670).

Despite its otherwise accurate perspective, it includes a well-known error: the position of the geographer’s right hand on the globe does not match its reflection in the mirror.

I feel like there ought to be more, but I listened to both of these today, so they're what's on my mind because the goosebumps have sure been bumpin' today.

Agnes: Touristenprogramm, das Finale: Museo Correr. Also eigentlich waren das 4 Museen und zwei Biennale Ausstellungen. Das archäologische Museum haben wir tapfer (fast) ignoriert. Das stadtgeschichtliche ergänzte die Erkenntnisse aus dem Dogenpalast. Es enthält die Sammlung Morosini, weswegen die Ruhmestaten dieses Eroberers der Peleponnes im Fokus stehen. Die frischgebackene Athentouristin denkt ständig nur "Parthenonzerstörer!". In der Pinakothek hängt eine moderne Ausstellung zwischen den Renaissancewerken. Nicht alle Vasen sind in Athen, auch Etrusker und Langobarden töpferten, das 16. Jahrhundert malte lieber Majoliken. Ganz toll: die alte Bibliothek mit Karten und ihrer Geschichte, alten Globen (und moderner Kunst dazwischen, ist klar) und sogar den Holzdruckstöcken der berühmten Venedigansicht von 1500. Na und drumherum die napoleonischen Prachtsäle mit tromp d'euil bis man stolpert.

Georg: Die herrische Steinbüste mit Hut und Admiralsstab in der Hand ist Parthenon- Destroyer Morosini himself. Er war so stolz darauf, dass ihm als einzigem Amtsträger der Republik fur seine Rückeroberungen schon zu Lebzeiten ein Bronzestandbild gegönnt wurde, daas er es für seine eigene Rennomierausstellung im Palazzo nochmals in Mamor nachhauen ließ.
